Heating was too hot. Even though the radiator was on zero. The thick water pipe, which ran across the floor from one side of the room to the other, was really hot, so the room was always hot, and windows wouldn't open fully. So we didn't really sleep much. Also, the bulbs in the lamps weren't working.

Like I said before, the bed was a little too firm for my taste, but all inn all, I was happy.

The room was nice, clean and in most ways comfortable, the bed was a little too firm for my taste, even if I them firm. I just had the continental breakfast and that was simple but good. The staff was very friendly and very helpful when we asked them for help and information.

The water pressure was too low in the mornings. Also (this is not a criticism), but for me I like to be able turn the heating off completely. Even with the radiator off the pipework kept the room warm, I do like it cooler when I'm asleep, I'm sure this would be fine for most people.

The breakfast was one of the best I've had in my many years of travelling, I was disappointed I missed out because I had to leave before Saturdays service.

Room was cold even though heating was on bathroom radiator was stone cold ended up having to sleep in dressing gown to keep warm but it was minus outside breakfast wasn't very hot and made a brew when went for breakfast that was quit cold as well but apart from that everything was OK

Water in shower only just warm.Bedside reading lamp wouldn't work ,toilet roll holder in a dangerous position. Fire alarm in middle of the night and had to stand outside for 10 minutes in zero temperatures.No explanation given why the alarm went off .

Loose handle on bathroom door with missing screw , broken bedside light fitting due to adjustment joint problem and anglepois lamp repaired by me due to similar issue. Several wall cracks in room corners and down door jambs. One of the upper small windows couldn’t be properly closed or opened due to loose fitting.Probably needs a good maintenance service and a degree of refurbishment.Finally the small gap between bed and radiator made it difficult to access bathroom for people with mobility problems as the space was around 12 inches
