Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWe upgraded our room to an executive room and it was big but dirty. The window sills hadn’t been cleaned for weeks judging by the collections of dead flies everywhere. There was a soap wrapper behind the sink from a previous guest. The taps in the sink and bath hadn’t been cleaned properly. There was no plug for the bath although they did bring one when we contacted reception. The mirror in the bedroom was smeared. There was no bottled water in the room. The breakfast was okay but all the spoons in the tea cups were stained. I would not choose to stay here again as it was very expensive for a below average room.

United KingdomSound baffle needed in the lounge/dining area. Hardly tactful numbering of the disability access room - number 101! Bathroom facilities not quite up to scratch : cracked toilet lid. Toilet too low!!! No grab rail on left side when sitting - needful on rising for someone who has lost the use of their right hand. Emergency cords were tucked away out of reach. Better quality toilet paper would be appreciated! Disabled clients may still keenly enjoy watching golf, especially in such surroundings! Make this room a premium showcase - you may have exprofessionals or similarly prestigious folk who now have some disability - especially since covid!
The pleasant, helpful and attentive staff The redesign and refurbishment - beautifully done, excellent furnishings and the grey carpet is a beautiful design. The dining and lounge space is very pleasing, and the smaller lounge has superb chairs

United KingdomThe bathroom shower door really grim - only needed a proper scrub with cleaner and limescale remover to get the brown limescale stains of the bottom of the shower door. A bit of a shame as otherwise a nice reasonably new modern bathroom. The food choice was not great and even simply food like a chicken burger and braised beef not great! We stayed two nights and when we returned to our room about 10.30 pm on our second night our room had not been serviced so no tea/milk etc for the morning, no loo rolls etc which is not good! The whole place is just a little tired and obviously the emphasis is on golf which is great and the golf courses looked immaculate. However as said previously lovely staff
Lovely room comfy bed, clean good sheets and generally the room was clean. All the staff were delightful and friendly and really great.

United KingdomCheck in could have been a bit more informative but they seemed short staffed & very busy when we arrived. Communal areas could have been cleaner. Inconsiderate guests making a lot of noise late at night.
Location was lovely. Breakfast was nice but still some restrictions on how the place functioned, so you got a breakfast box then could order any variations on full cooked breakfast. Dinner was excellent but only a small choice.

United KingdomDrinks were very limited because the machine for the draught beer had broke. What was there was very pricey. Bath was stained near the plug, and the room was boiling overnight.
Came down for a wedding, second receptionist we spoke to and housekeeping were lovely. Nice to sit out and watch golfers, location is very good.

United KingdomThere seems to be rather a shortage of staff in the most important areas Two days prior to my stay I phoned at least 6 times in an attempt to book an extra night There was either no answer or an answering service. I was eventually contacted the next day by which time I had used an alternative service On arrival having seen the room I had chosen I enquired about upgrading from a single to a double room only to be told they wouldn’t know until the NEXT morning how much it would cost!!!!!! Several other members in the group experienced similar problems when trying to book a golf buggy through the golf shop Finally I would advise that all billing is checked thoroughly as several members of the party had been overcharged
Satisfactory

United KingdomI seemed to be the only guest who wasn't part of a golf party! (Not surprising I suppose as the hotel is almost on the golf course)
The hotel catered well for my dietary requirements (gluten-free) and the staff were very helpful.
