We left our bags there as we couldn’t check in. When we returned later, had bags were just left in the bar and they had to search to find them.

Great location and good value for money

Beds are not the most confortables and the hotel is not as close as we thought to the old town.

Beautiful spacious room with a nice breakfast although we had to wait as not as much space to fit everyone.

Our room was near the cobblestone road and so noisy even during at night. Room floor could be better. The bathroom was clean but got some smell.

Good location, close to bus and tram station and comfy bed

Our room had windows on the street side and there was some noise from the cars during the night.

Very good location, close to train station and tram stop. 15minute walk to city center. Room very spacious and clean, but not luxurious. Breakfast good in both quality and quantity, however not a big variety.

I rented two rooms, one for me and my bf, and one for my parents . Ours was very cosy, their, however, felt excessively big. So, their feedback: brown headboards were a bit overpowering in the whiteness of the room, there was no rug under the cute round table with chairs to bring cosiness which also led to scratched floors. My parents loved our room with the statement wallpaper and art over the headboard, but disliked theirs as it felt big, white, empty. Just feedback, nothing major to complain about. Personally, I would recommend putting a silicone thing on the shower cabin floor, it was slippery. And the breakfast utensils downstairs could be handled in a more undisturbing hour, like after 8am or before 10pm. We could hear the cling-clang noises.

I wanted to stay at a little more traditionally-decorated place, and the Haymarket Hotel totally had the vibes - high ceilings, high windows, chandeliers, big bed headboards, etc. Tea, instant coffee in the room, iron, hair-dryer, everything needed. The location was convenient - close to the train station and tram, and bus stops. Overall, I would stay there again. I liked my stay.

Room size: I booked a single room and it is smaller than expectation. Opening the window takes some effort. Noise insulation: Within the room I can hear doorbell for guests going through front desk, and the conversations.

Staff: Very friendly and attentive Location: Very convenient location, easily accessible and close to public transportation including trams, buses, and national rail services. Tesco market nearby. Room cleanliness Room is very well illuminated with a very high ceiling.

Quite a lot of noise from the other guests throughout the night which disrupted sleep a lot. Because it is an older building the sound is clearly audible and travels throughout the building. The room was also very hot and would’ve benefited from some ventilation. It was very expensive for what you get but it’s Edinburgh so probably not unexpected.

Nice location, good amenities in the room and clean. Close to the train station. Offered to look after my luggage for the day while I was out exploring Edinburgh which I really appreciated.

They gave us a room underground, but not a big deal

Staff is very nice and the hotel is cozy and clean. There is a cheap parking outside, 2 streets away the staff suggested us that was perfect

The room shown in the website pictures looks much more classical and high quality. But the actual condition is a little bit different from my expectation.

The room is large with high ceiling, The bed is large and comfortable. The windows are large and high. But there is no table for dinning or desktop working. You can only put all your belongings on the bed. Although the hotel is not at the city center, it is only a 1-minute walk to the nearest tram and bus stops. There are only 1 tram stop to the Dean Village, 2 tram stops to the Princes Street, and 3 tram stops to the central train station. Therefore its location is still convenient if you do not have to live in the city center. The breakfast is good, and the reception gives satisfied service. The customer service team also gives fast response to my questions raised through booking.com

Basic room, poor conditions for shower, very small bathroom.

Very good location, 2 min by walk to the bus that get you to the airport and tram station. The Hotel has that old Scottish style (dining room, fireplace, stairs, building outside) The staff is very helpful.
