Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNoisy!!! Said rooms were sound proof however heard next door getting ready early in the morning. And then what sounded like housekeeping hitting every edge with the hoover in that room. Shower kept dripping in intervals throughout the early hours. All resulting in disturbed sleep.
Staff were very friendly, food tasty & good value. Hotel clean & modern

United KingdomA charge of £15 for the use of a cot when spending £2000 on rooms and associated function room and celebration meal with family. Especially when not informed at the time of booking. Celebration food in the MusicRoom1 was a disappointment but made up by the breakfast.
The English breakfast was the highlight of our stay with fresh locally sourced produce. And the rooms are decorated to a high standard.

United KingdomThe beverage tray in the room was broken and just needed a little glue. This did not impact on the stay... this was just an observation. I believe my daughter attempted to use the room telephone which did not work. Again this did not impact on the stay.
the hotel was very good. We are excited to see the improvements that are going to be made. Maz in the bar restaurant was very welcoming and very attentive. He was efficient warm and friendly. Reception staff were helpful and accommodating. It was really helpful to be able to book the restaurant in advance and on arrival decided to change the time of our booking and Maz was very helpful. Information about the current building renovations prior to arrival was much appreciated. There was some small noises but then it subsided and did not impact on our stay. The grounds are lovely.

United KingdomWe had a tepid shower. My husband and son had the same in their room also so we know it wasn't our user error. Unfortunately we had to split our family of four up because there were no family rooms available. Very noisy doors closing in the night. Perhaps they need quiet closing mechanisms added
Comfortable rooms, nice interiors and lovely grounds

United KingdomI specially asked for a Ground Floor Room in the new block . This was verified by you ( booking.com ) as being noted . When I arrived , I was given a room in the old , original part of the hotel . This part of the hotel needs updating and has no lift . I have stayed there before and was not comfortable . When I made enquiries about changing rooms I was finally and quite ungraciously given what I had requested . I had paid more for this reservation than before at this hotel but assumed that it was because it was Mother's Day and Cruft's Dog Show ( very close ) and that prices had been inflated accordingly . I was told that the price was for the room they were offering me in the old part of the building not the room I eventually occupied . When I asked for a refund , it was refused . Contact from the manager was promised but, to date , has not happened .

United KingdomThe only small issue was the hot water in the bathroom took a long time to flow through the shower / taps. There was nothing else I disliked.
Located in beautiful, peaceful location. Perfect for unwinding from a long day after exhibiting at the NEC. The room was located in an annex at the back of the main hotel. All the staff were very friendly and attentive. I would stay here again if working in the Solihull area.

United KingdomJust let down a bit by small details like no hairdryer, damp patches behind the curtain where the plaster was falling off but the main issue was the noise - very heavy room doors that were being banged and slammed until late at night by other guests and by room maids early in the morning. Also had to ask receptiion at 12.30 midnight to ask the neighbouring guests to be quiet as they were being very thoughtless with the noise (but this was dealt with promptly by the night staff) The towel rail in the bathroom is dangerously hot and although there is a warning sign I did catch myself on it as the bathroom is tiny and difficult to avoid the rail.
Pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room nice, bed very comfortable with nice bedding, small compact bathroom but clean and modern with nice white towels, toiletries. Nice picturesque setting and a very short taxi ride into the centre of Solihull. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant food was good.

United KingdomIf, although dog friendly you should advise that dogs are not allowed in the restaurant It is not acceptable to be offered a coffee table and lounge chair to eat your main evening meal. You need to be transparent in your doggy welcome.

United KingdomHad the beef ciabatta at lunch and it was very chewy and was mostly fat that wasn't very nice. The shower was a little snug due to where it was fitted on the bath.
Majority of the food was incredible and the decor was really beautiful. Staff were fantastic and the breakfast was so delicious. Also if you get the chance, order the triple cooked chips!

United KingdomAll the room doors seem to slam. The standard lamp didn't work and one of the long bulbs that runs along the mirror in the bathroom was out. It felt like the next door room could change our T.V as we would be watching something and it would just start flicking through the channels (very strange) Minor details
Really lovely stay for 2 nights during Crufts. Very comfy bed, nice bathroom, really clean and friendly staff. Had a lovely meal in the restaurant and the breakfast had a good selection and I can recommend the eggs royale. The location and surroundings is beautiful. Large patio and wooded area leading down to the water. There is a horse riding school next door and large fields

ItalyInformation about repair works at the hotel arrived a couple of days before we had to check in and after the payment was debited. The personnel could be a bit more helpful and friendly. F&B expenses can't be charged to the room, have to pay on spot every moment ordering a drink. Breakfast on Sunday is not served before 8 am. we had to leave to the show without having breakfast, though it has been paid for.
I liked the property and quite tidy neighborhood.

United KingdomA small thing I could have done with a bathrobe in the room, although I do usually take one and didn’t on this occasion. Also forget to put out the room service notice so the room wasn’t done and our room service tray was still in the room from the night before when we we came back in the evening, so the fault was mine but you need to remember to put out the notice. And lastly a waste bin outside the hotel as when with dogs you need somewhere to dispose the poop bag’s if there was one I certainly couldn’t find it.
Staff were excellent and efficient, room was lovely and spacious with plenty of wardrobe space especially as we took our dog with us. We had room service and ate in the restaurant and both the food and service was excellent . The photos really do not do this hotel justice it’s really lovely and welcoming and would not hesitate recommending or staying here again if in the area.

Breakfast very good and on the whole the room was excellent, but could have done with a few more shelves in the bathroom area for shower gels, shampoos, makeup and toothbrushes etc, to accommodate two people.
