Location. A bit off the royal mile but very quiet down a lane way. Not much going on in the area other than just tourists walking around during the day. A little bit too quiet in evening/night.

The location is excellent for central Edinburgh. The apartments are good for a group, particularly one apartment some of our group had on the top floor, which had extra space and a pleasant dinning area with skylights. Some basics provided (tea, coffee, milk) when you arrive, shops close by for buying any provisions you need. Car parking available, £20 a night, which is not unreasonable for secure parking where the car is easily accessible.

The housekeeping was not efficient ,our flat was not cleaned for 2 days and the toileteries were nof enough for 3 adults.

At the bottom of the hill, so a lot of trekking uphill. Power couldn’t hand the converter that we use elsewhere in the Uk.

Fairly conveniently located, except it’s at the bottom of the Royal mile. A bus stop right at the end of the adjacent close. A Tesco express a few steps away. A fair size with a fair amount of equipment. Staff very helpful and friendly.

I was a bit unsure about the unprotected luggage storage option (a cupboard) outwith the staff area where you sign a disclaimer to use it, meaning I had to take more luggage with me because I couldn't risk leaving it in an area others could access without staff.

The staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. My room was spacious, comfortable, and quiet. The kitchen amenities in the room were great.

Perfect Location and Comfortable Stay at Holyrood Hotel Our recent stay at Holyrood Hotel was nothing short of fantastic. The location couldn't have been more perfect, nestled in the heart of the city yet surprisingly serene. The apartment was spacious yet compact, providing ample room without feeling overwhelming. One of the highlights was the impeccable cleanliness and the array of necessary comforts, including a convenient washing machine with a dryer—perfect for longer stays. Despite its proximity to the center, noise was never an issue, allowing for a peaceful night's rest. As an Outlander fan, walking through Bakehouse Close to reach the hotel was an absolute delight, adding a touch of charm to our daily commute. The staff were exceptionally nice and helpful, always ready to assist with any inquiries or recommendations. Overall, our experience at Holyrood Hotel was truly delightful, and we're already planning our return in the near future. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable and convenient stay in Edinburgh.

The AC needs a new unit, the interior feels old, and the hallway didn’t have a heater (pretty cold in footings).

The studio apartment was very well equipped with full kitchen facilities. It is very convenient to the centre of Edinburgh city. Good that it had parking facilities as well for our hire car.

Good location, next to the Royal Mile. You can walk down street towards Arthur Seat or up street towards Edinburgh Castle. Room well equipped with kitchen and even washing machine.

The hallways smell bad. Dirty, musty, and old. The garbage chutes were broken. The hotel could use a renovation.

Close to everywhere There is a restaurant next to the hotel which is great They serve very good cuisine and have a garden where you can drink a good beer. The hitel itself is nice, clean, everything you need is in the kitchen, living room and bathroom
