A small table between chairs in room, to put cup, glasses, paper etc. Think it would be nice if you had the same table in the dining room but realise that could be difficult if you didn't have dinner every night.

Room clean and comfortable. Food very good, especially breakfast and a nice choice for dinner. Staff very helpful and friendly. Nice grounds. Would definitely stay here when visiting Sidmouth again.

Maybe some of the lounge suites could be replaced as age takes its toll.

Breakfast was brilliant a full choice of everything All really hot and plenty of it. Location is just right about a 10 minute walk to the sea. Lovely town and plenty to see. Quite at the hotel a d sitting outside in their gardens. Rooms clean and beds comfortable. No TV downstairs so encourages talking . Price for stay a d meals spot on.

Great parking..Friendly greeting by staff..the room was perfect for me with a short walk to the beach or a wander next to the stream..I enjoyed myself immensely fir my first time and I will definitely be back in the future..

The staff was lovely and helpful! I am forever indebted to the desk attendant who helped me zip up my dress for the wedding I was attending as I was traveling alone! Breakfast was fantastic and the location in Sidmouth is amazing!

Only issue, which wouldn’t stop us from booking again, was the soundproofing. The tv next door was very intrusive although it could have been a guest who was hard of hearing!

The fact that we were unable to have dinner at the hotel as all tables were pre-booked. When we asked if we could have sandwiches in the bar with our drinks, we were told they don't provide bar meals. So we had to buy 'meal deals' from the local Tesco Express on the first night. Second night we ate elsewhere. Also the bar was only open an hour or so both evenings - possibly due to staff shortages. However the hotel was of a high standard, the room comfortable and the staff all pleasant and helpful. It was only a ten minute walk to the town & sea front.

There is no lift so getting luggage to the top floor can be hard, although staff volunteered to do this and took the hassle away - as long as they continue to provide that service it is not an issue.

Food was outstandingly good. Service standards are also exceptional. The location is ideal - a fairly short walk into the town, shops and sea front, but in a quiet and peaceful location.

Slightly wider dining times for the evening meal would have been nice.

Room was large and had everything we needed. Breakfast was really good, lots of choice from the buffet with cooked breakfast to follow. Dining room staff were great and very quick and attentive. Location of the hotel felt like it was in the country, whilst at the same time close enough to walk into the town centre and sea front.
