The limit of only one house wine by the glass and that being Australian Shiraz. Nearly all restaurants would have a Merlot for example . As we wanted wine by the bottle we could easily live with the restriction. The shower controls initially difficult to get the hang of and shampoo bottle plunger didn’t function but we had our own.

The staff all were friendly and efficient and ready smiles. They guessed correctly what you wanted and were eager to provide it. All told not much to require for improvement. Food on offer exceeded what I could cope with at my age of 85. Variety excellent.

The Hotel is lovely, breakfast was delicious. Staff extremely friendly nothing was too much trouble. Plenty of parking all with Electric points. Perfect location only a 10 minute walk to seafront. Had a brilliant stay will definately come back

Beautiful house in lovely grounds next to the Byes Riverside Walk. The staff were all very friendly. We booked bed and breakfast but they offered a three course dinner with coffee at a very reasonable price with choices and the food was delicious, as was breakfast. Hotel was an easy walk to the town and the beach.

Nothing! The only issue was the fairly poor state of the approach road outside of the hotel - not the hotel's fault!!

Really excellent breakfast with large choice including crisp croissants, very well freshly cooked food including fried bread (!) and delicious kippers! The dinner menu changed every day and every meal was beautifully cooked. The room was very clean with a good en-suite (shower over bath) and multiple charging points. The car park was secure with multiple EV charging points and the hotel was located in a quiet area.

My only comment is that I had an early morning departure on my second stay and had asked for a light breakfast, croissants and coffee, for 7am as breakfast started at 0830, but this was not prepared. It is a minor detail but it would be nice to have a continental type breakfast from 0730 available until the kitchen opens.

Breakfast was included and exceptional. Dinner was an excellent set menu choice and great value. The wine list is good and not over priced. I stayed twice in one week in two different rooms. Both were very comfortable and quiet with very good in-room facilities and newly renovated bathrooms.

Dining area was lacking in atmosphere. It was clean and the staff were attentive and friendly. Perhaps it was the time of year, but it needed something to give it a lift.

Quiet and lots of space with friendly staff. Very clean. Wonderful location with easy walking distance to town and sea front. Comfortable lounge for relaxing reading.

The radiator in the bathroom was very hot and increased the temperature in both bathroom and bedroom. I sometimes felt the hotel was a little too warm.

Fantastic breakfast. So much choice and variety. Very short walk to the sea which I enjoyed doing before breakfast!
