Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

SwedenThese are trifles, but given the price and general standard of the hotel, I would have expected more attention to functional details in the room and also accurate information regarding the same. There where no hooks for outerwear. No toilet brush in the bathroom, which was weird and very inconvenient... Nowhere to hang your towels in the bathroom, didn't feel very environmentally friendly to have to put the towels on the floor and have them replaced every day. The room we booked was supposed to have a sofa, but we had none (which was not a big deal but I just expect the information to be accurate in this price range). The minibar was just an empty fridge (again, OK since there was a market downstairs, but the information should be accurate). If these things were fixed/the information was updated to correct details, I would rate 8 or 9 instead of 7. I would have been happy to provide this feedback directly at check out, but the staff (early morning check out) did not interact with us in any way other than to state "check out is done" even though we were the only guests in the lobby at that time (no questions about our stay, "have a nice day" or other frills. All other staff were super friendly).
Modern and clean hotel with sleek decor. Located in a vibrant area of London just minutes from the tube, making it easy to get around. Although in a central location, the room was suuuuper quiet, we slept really well here. Our room was bigger than we expected and offered a cool view of London. The breakfast selection was good. Very friendly staff at check-in and breakfast.

Lovely clean room. Good size. Wooden floors a lot more hygienic than carpet in most hotels. Lovely decor. Bar with rooftop was great bonus.

Felt smart, clean and quiet. Large room. Black out blinds were exceptional and blocked out all of the light. Bed was comfortable.
