No Refund for the breakfast

Very expensive for one night and it didn’t include breakfast ! - I do feel it was extremely expensive for what it was therefore not value for money,.. stupidly I made the mistake for pay extra £12.00 for breakfast and didn’t have it as had to go to work, I did ask fo a refund and was was told no this was not possible. I would not stay there again

The toilets are not ok, extractor fan is making loud noise, There cracks and leaks in the toilet walls. I noticed a dead bug on the toilet floor. The toilets needs renovation.

The location of the hotel is only ideal.

Bathroom was a bit more dated. A crack in the work surface by the sink meal at the restaurant didn’t seem as freshly cooked as the previous week.

We checked in late on the Wednesday night & were told breakfast was 7.30-10.30. The next morning we arrived at breakfast at 9.20am & showed to a table. At 9.35 after only have gotten toast & some drinks all the hot food was abruptly taken away. I went to ask why & was told breakfast finishes at 9.30. There was still food there mind you that was being rushed back to the kitchen. I was the rudely told I was wrong & breakfast is over. I was yet to get my 3 year old any breakfast & wasn’t offered any solution. My daughter cried as she wanted breakfast & the staff were only concerned about wanting to blame the person who told me breakfast finishes at 10.30. Why weren’t we told at 9.20am FYI you’ve ten minutes to get your hot food as we would have rushed to sort. I appreciate this a first world probably but we won’t be staying at your hotel again.

We’ve stayed here a few times before & is a clean nice hotel in a convenient location for us.

In the morning I went to pull back the curtains and discovered severe black mould all around the window frame, I went and raised it with reception. They were very good and aimed to rectify the situation ASAP, we were offered another room but they found the offered room had a window leak, they cleaned our room window & a resolution was found. The windows need replacing mould and condensation, rooms could do with some TLC

The location was ideal enabling us to be able to venture out from the hotel easily to explore different areas! Staff friendly and always willing to help with anything! Food was great, our evening meal was delicious & nice to see a restaurant actually deliver proper hot food! Breakfast was tasty too and very enjoyable! Was brilliant that they also provide NHS discount to food & drinks!

If you want a peaceful sleep, I would avoid this hotel. You can literally hear every step, people walking upstairs and along the corridors. Sort out those squeaky floorboards. Not sure if the hotel is a 3 or 4 star, but I would say worthy of 3, no more. Cleanliness was okay, there were some stains on the carpet, finding out it was a dog friendly hotel once arrived, made the stain a whole lot worse as it could have easily been a stain from dog mess. We also seemed to have quite a few ladybirds in the room, even on the bed...but personally I didn't mind this. Once we put them outside, no more returned...so not sure what happened there. The bath!!! So half the water runs straight down the overflow and along the sides of the bath when attempting to run a bath...its like the tap is slightly bent on the inside part....definitely not water efficient or environment friendly. Lighting!! I don't know whose idea it was to have all lights controlled by one switch, but the lights above the bed are extremely annoying and in a bad place, ruins your eyes. Have to turn them off, and then there is no lamp or side light. Only one side of bed has a USB charging port. Lots of switches in the room that do nothing. Strange but large room.

Staff are extremely polite and helpful, I would give it a 10 if based on staff alone.

A bit dates in places. Little things like the remote and the information sheet was not very clean. Are at the bar and found it was expensive for what you got. Bit noisy after 11pm from corridor and upstairs.

Good location. Good value for money. Room was a nice size and bed comfortable. Shower was hot and powerful.
