Only the covid rules which we couldn't do anything about put a slight dampner on visiting places.

The breakfast was superb. Plenty of variety. The hosts were all very friendly and informative. If I return to the Isle of Wight I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Had the best time in the Isle of Wight - made even better and even more special thanks to the absolutely fantastic Kenbury team. The team really are the most kind, happy to help and thoughtful team I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. The room we stayed in was perfect, and the breakfast was fantastic. The location was also excellent - just in between the seafront and the old village, so easy to walk to both. Thank you to the whole of the team, and a special thank you to Paolo who really is sunshine in human form. I can’t wait for our next visit to the island, and I know exactly where we will be staying!

Fantastic B n B very clean, Top team working there. Nothing too much trouble and very helpful. Excellent breakfast with a large choice cooked to perfection by Paul. Paulo and Claire gave a great warm and friendly service. 5 min walk to the beach and plenty of choice for places to eat In the town 10 min walk away. Would highly recommend the Kenbury.

Kenbury is well situated to the main high street at Shanklin. The staff cannot do enough for you. The rooms are clean and comfortable and can’t be faulted. Good lounge area to chat to the other guests in a COVID secure environment.

It was too hot in both rooms especially in smaller room on our arrival. We switched of all radiators and kept windows opened to keep the temperature down, but I still would've preferred the temperature to be couple degrees lower. Although the air fans were provided in each room we didn't used them and preferred to leave the windows opened, which allowed occasional street noice in. The birds at 4 am were extremely noisy neighbours, but that only added extra charm to this place.

Two rooms we hired (one double & one single) were comfortable, clean and well furnished. There was a double bed in single room that could easily house a couple. Two rooms were very similar in appearance with double slightly bigger than single due to different layout (double room had smaller bathroom with sink located outside in the bedroom which had its own advantages& disadvantages, but gave the room extra floor space). The sound insulation was good and we didn't hear any neighbours and had a comfortable sleep without much disturbance from other guests. Everything was COVID secure with masks and sanitising gels provided in the rooms and breakfast services arranged in different time to limit overcrowding in the dining area. The breakfast was fantastic with all possible food on offer. Fried English breakfast was accompanied with croissants, homemade jams, cornflakes, etc. The dining room was relaxing and spacious. Paul, who served us and looked after us throughout our stay was friendly and funny. We were advised on places to visit and the best way to get there. Loved the atmosphere and will definitely stay and recommend this place for others.

Room overlooked main road, noisy until late. Very small en-suite, more like a cupboard! Parking very tight. Cooked English breakfast quite meagre.

Long wait for breakfast and it was only just warm. Host didn't introduce himself and only spoke when he needed to. We had to ask for more toilet rolls when we ran out after 2 days. 1 bed creaked badly. Toilet seat was broken

Could be tight for off street car parking space when the B& B is fully booked. Compared with a purpose built hotel accommodation, the bedroom and bathroom space was shall we say rather 'cosy'. Often the case when converting a large Victorian house to B&B.

Breakfasts had to be ordered the night before. If you wanted something different in the morning, particularly a cooked breakfast, it probably wasn't available. There was a door missing from the wardrobe and very few hangers. The shower was very hit and miss, either very hot, very cold or a reduced dribble. The bath rocked when you stood in it to get a shower and there were cobwebs in the bathroom for the full 2 weeks of our stay. There was also confusion on what to do with towels that required replacement, due to confused signs in the bathroom, that was resolved by the owner when brought to his attention. Limited hot water when more than one room was running a shower or filling the sink. The sink and bath were not regularly cleaned.

The location is very handy for the beach and town. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of choice and were well organised. The room was a good size as was the bathroom with bath and shower. There was fresh bottled water and milk each day in the refridgerator. The room was well cleaned and tidied each day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking on site was generally possible.
