Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomThe bathroom in the room was tiny. The sliding door was cumbersome and noisy. Would be better with a sliding frosted door. The rooms lighting was poor, which was further enhanced by lack of natural daylight. The price of cocktails was on the pricey side

The hotel room and bathroom were impeccably clean, meeting my expectations. Every staff member I encountered exemplified excellence in service, readily assisting and addressing any questions I had. Their consistently positive attitude truly enhanced my stay, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere. It's often said that it's the people who make the difference in a customer's experience, and I must say, the staff at this hotel exceeded my expectations in that regard. It's been quite some time since I've encountered such genuinely friendly and accommodating individuals. The overall vibe I received from the staff left me with a strong impression that the hotel fosters a culture of warmth and hospitality, further enhancing the overall guest experience.

United KingdomThe Leisure facilities seem to be undergoing a re-vamp. Half the changing rooms were sectioned off. There were no locks on the lockers, so I had to take my wallet and phone into the gym and swimming pool area. The Sauna was also out of action. Swimming pool was a decent size, but the amount of chlorine was immense! You couldn't put your head under, but then again the kids were who were taking lessons (no disruption) Gym is clearly going through an upgrade. United StatesThe gym, cardio equipments and the floors are very dirty, they only clean the floor and the spaces you see directly. The equipments are full of dirt and not checked for ages as it is my 6th time staying in this hotel. The personal trainers hired by some members are very loud and acting as if this is a private gym and it was annoying for the other clients of the hotel to workout. One member of the gym comes and turns the ventilator on during workout although the aircon is on. The room was extremely hot in May and we had to keep the windows open all day long. The breakfast is always the same and there are no healthy options to choose from.

GermanyNegatives: For a 4 star hotel, both the sofa in the room and the carpet could do with a deep clean. The cleaning staff were also very noisy in the corridor on the first morning. The room is very small. No space for the suitcases. Conclusion: Despite the shortcomings, I would come back again.

PortugalUpon arrival, the room air conditioning unit was broken, reported immediately , the room was subsequently very warm and stuffy. Whilst the client services provided a fan, they did not, as promised, update me as to when the maintenance team would come to repair it. They did not offer alternative room. They did not contact us at all to see how we were. Pillows were rock hard. Uncomfortable hot night , unable to rest adequately, ruined our London stopover.
The staff were very good. The pool and spa were a good experience

United KingdomOur bathroom door didn’t shut - the handle & lock were broken, which should have been rectified before allowing guests to stay. We stayed one night in there and used our bag to prevent the door from opening. We were able to move to a much nicer room the following day.

Excellent friendly check in and out, good late check out time too. Great location, a few mins walk from Kensington High Street tube.
