Toilet in bedroom blocked and dud not clean room when asked

I do not like the automated checkin, my fingers do not work on touch screen so it is a real difficulty for me. Staff do help but it is embarrasing. I also deeply object to having to give my card details to get my room key. I never charge anything when I stay at your hotels and I do not see why I should give you my card details which are personal to me.

The carpark was a mess. Pot holes everywhere.

Distance from town centre. On edge of industrial estate.

Facilities are good. Was a bit further out of town than we anticipated so be prepared to stop in for the evening! Bar and food facilities on hand.

I booked this hotel solely because it advertised the availability of an EV charger. However on arrival I found this was only for Tesla cars - which was not mentioned in the information about the hotel. This urgently needs to be corrected. If I had known in advance, I’d have booked elsewhere .

Breakfast was limited and when we got there around 8am alot of the items had gone and were not replenished. Breakfast was not worth £12 being charged

The breakfast was awful 😖 Staff were almost nonexistent very old-fashioned, and outdated Bath filled with water when having a shower and took ages to drain away

No members of staff available

Self check-in - which isn't a problem, however, went down to the bar area in the morning to purchase some coffee and there was no member of staff around, even though it was after breakfast had finished. Only 1 member of staff in the evening, who seemed a bit miffed we ordered 2 lattes at 10 pm, even though there was a couple of people still in the bar, albeit one of those men was extremely drunk and heckling at myself and my friend. I would have thought said member of staff would have said something but didn't. Housekeeping banging on the door just gone 9 am, even though check out isn't until 11am? Was a pleasant stay however not very welcoming.

The floors are very outdated and they probably were filled with dust because my boyfriend who is allergic, sneezed a lot. We checked the top of the bed, the tables and all the other furniture and everything was clean dust free so I guess it should be from the carpet floor.

The rooms were big and they gave us tea and coffee everyday.

The fresh fruit on offer for breakfast could be better. On our last morning the melon was not fresh and I could not eat it and some of the grapes had passed their best. It might be better to stick to tinned fruit and offer more choice in cereal. Some plates were poorly washed.. There was no where in the bathroom to hang up a bathrobe or a shelf to put our washbag on Many of the tv stations did not work and at first it was very slow in starting and sometimes the signal was poor.

the room and service met our expectation so we were comfortable. We had one meal prepared by Callum and the portions were good. The TV was a good size.

We came back to get a parking fine ....we did a self check in and we weren't told you had to pay or register the car so I have a 60 pound fine .not happy

Self service check-in was not great - even the staff who came to help had difficulty getting the inputs into the system - for the unfamiliar you run out of time and have to start again.

Reception on arrival not very helpful all looked miserable and came across the same way all questions answered with one word answer yes or no ,no conversation or communication skills ,weird rules implemented by management, could not get a beer before noon ar after 11pm regardless of being a resident at the hotel ,any food ordered to the room or in the resturant has to be paid up front , no tabs were allowed ,I do think these policies need to change as we would have spent more time in the hotel drinking and eating as a group of 5 a few hundred over the 2 days would of Been spent ,I do understand the hotel may of caught a cold with dodgy bank accounts or people not paying bills but not everyone should be tared with the same brush !

The hotel very nice rooms were clean and bed very comfortable breakfast very good.Sean the barman very pleasant and accommodating.
