Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomHaving a little fridge in the room would have made my long stay, more homely. I ended up spending more money on food and wasting food because I couldn't store them even for a few minutes. I would have appreciated having a fridge in my room to keep my drinks cold, too. Secondly, the cleaning should be more regular. I wanted the room cleaned after two days and not three or four days, but when I didn't see anyone, I didn't bother about it. Then, a day before checking out, I got a knock on the door for clean up, which I turned down, since I was leaving first thing in the morning. Lastly, a socket close to the bedside would have made life easier for me. The female staff at the front desk and the other who came to clean were very warm and friendly. I took lots of beautiful pictures at the lounge/bar. Generally, my family had a memorable experience, and the kids loved it.
The ambience was very calm and peaceful. The rooms had radiant colours and spacious.

United KingdomWasn’t the cleanest, marks on the bedding, bits on the floor, rubbish on top of the wardrobe that had been missed by the cleaners. Quite noisy at night due to thin walls and ceilings. Only one thin pillow on the bed.

United KingdomUnfortunately the walls are incredibly thin and I could the activity in the neighbouring rooms incredibly loudly. Snoring from one direction, talking from the other interspersed with 2 excruciating close sex sessions. At 1.45am I went to reception asking to be moved which was not possible. he offered to knock on the door but it wasn't their fault, the walls are just too thin and need sound insulating - be warned and at the very least take ear plugs. The TV didn't work either and the man sent to fix it couldn't help.
The hotel is in a good location not far from Golders Green tube. It is also near restaurants. I appreciated the free on site parking. The room has old decor and this is to be expected and adequate for the price I paid. The room, bed and bathroom were mainly clean in the obvious areas to clean daily - but details like windowsills, skirting boards, shower walls and insides of drawers seem to have been forgotten and are grubby. The hotel has a 24 hour front desk which makes it feel secure and doors can be locked from the inside. en suite shower and kettle add comfort to the stay.

United KingdomThe fire alarm did go off around 6.30am which was slightly disruptive. I then stayed the following night in the small single room at the other side of the hotel. This room was slightly different, had a lingering smell of smoke but I left the window ajar. It could also do with some TLC to the room but probably fair for what i paid. As a tip for other guests i would advise paying slightly more for the double/family rooms and avoid the singles.
Stayed for 1 night in the family room just above reception, was fairly modern and spacious enough for me and the kids and fairly clean. There was an average choice for breakfast the following morning. There was also adequate parking. Reception were helpful with any queries i had.
