Long walk from the reception to our room which was on first floor (two flights of stairs no lift) and furthest away - difficult with heavy luggage

Amazing location, breakfast is fabulous - far more than you could eat if you have everything available. Dinner was great with a good selection of seasonal food. The public areas including bar have a comfortable feel and our room, we chose a larger one with lake view, was very comfortable and spacious. The balcony was an added bonus to sit out on with a cup of coffee.

Breakfast very disappointing! We booked breakfast for 9.30am but waited 10 minutes to be seated and then a long wait at the table for our coffee order. Coffee arrived with a tray of toast, croissant and fruit but it was 10.35am before the cooked breakfast arrived! We had chosen Eggs Royale but they came with scrambled eggs instead of poached, it was horrible and cold and we didn't have time to re order before the 11 am checkout.

Stunning location, superb views from balcony overlooking the lake. Beautiful room, very clean, comfortable bed, lots of variety of complimentary teas and coffees plus a mini fridge.

We booked in for our evening meal but we all wanted to eat was something off the light bite menu. We had researched this before our stay and it had bao buns/fajitas etc. When we got the menus there wasn’t the light bite menu and it was more fine dining options. Our party just ended up having several side orders as our meal. We were a table of 9 though so maybe the kitchen was too busy.

The location was beautiful with the view to the lake. I have to say a HUGE thank you though. My daughter left her favourite snuddie in the room and when I rang to check, they offered to post it back to us. It arrived the day after, so grateful.

The views from the rooms, lounge and terrace are exceptional. The food is very good and the staff are super helpful. The area is fantastic for riding motorbikes and we had a great time.

There isn't a pool at the spa which we didn't realise. We had an evening meal which was also delicious, they were extremely busy so the service was very slow, the only downful I would say

Beautiful place in a beautiful location. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel very welcome by the reception staff. We booked an afternoon tea which was delicious and use of the spa. Even managed to grab a last minute treatment. The room was lovely and great views, clean and tidy

Can’t fault our stay one bit

The location was amazing. We had a room with the lake view which you could look over from the bedroom and bathroom, we were lucky to see an amazing sunset that night. Check in and out and effortless. We were greeted by and amazing woman who was on the desk for our whole stay. Super friendly, attentive. Food was amazing and catered effortlessly for vegan needs. Hotel is dog friendly and when I say dog friendly I mean they actually had doggy biscuits in the room for the dogs and left a note for them too.

Nothing, as all of our needs were met.

We didn't require a main evening meal, but we had a light bite (tapas style) meal just before 6, which was so tasty and more than enough for our requirements. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate our every need. The breakfast was not just breakfast, but more an experience with a magical view of Lake Vyrnwy. The room was exceptional with amazing views and met all of our needs. If you want an amazing luxurious experience in a magical setting this is the place to stay.

Breakfast was very rushed and spoilt it. Oats, fruit, croissants and coffee came out and, within a minute, the cooked breakfast arrived. We should have sent it back as another couple did, so we could enjoy the breakfast properly.
