The bed was old and lumpy

Location was key as I was visiting my child at university. It was neat and tidy. Easy to access. As expected.

Bathroom had seen better days, very high step up into the small shower. One of the sockets by the desk didn't work. Needs a lamp on the desk, the 2 bedside wall-lights are pretty much useless.

Perfect for dropping our daughter back to University. Comfortable bed, very clean and tidy. Lovely tea/coffee tray with plenty on it.

Parking is a problem. You can only get a ticket to start parking in the morning at 8 O'clock. So you need to be up at 8 to get a ticket.

Unfortunately the beds in the twin room were uncomfortable. The mattresses were thin and hard suggesting they could do with replacing

Great location, Great breakfast, great price. Checking in was very smooth and the key pickup was very easy. The twin room was spacious clean and tidy and there were generous amounts of tea and coffee available in the room. Breakfast was plentiful with a choice of full cooked or cold, of yoghurts, cereal etc. All available from the buffet style service.

room was ok but lots of damp /water leak looking patches and a tiny uncomfortable bed. despite "socket near bed" there wasn't one I could use - it was a special 3amp light socket

I was surprised at just how basic (and dated) the accommodation is. For the price I would have expected a tv screen and a small fridge, as well as more modern equipment. Only one power point above the desk hardly seems adequate.

This venue was convenient for graduation with parking nearby. Bed was warm and comfortable.

Small suggestions for improvements: more power sockets in room (there were only two) and a wider selection of non-caffeine (e.g. camomile/mint/rooibos as well as fruit teabags).

Very convenient for graduation ceremonies, and very well heated on a winter's night.

Moldy shower cubicle. Damp smell.

V. Basic student room but OK for what we needed.. Comfy bed. Breakfast was fabulous. Tea and coffee and biscuits provided.

Shower needs tidying up, all black mould. Water stains on ceiling. Restaurant closed on a Saturday evening.

Shower was hard to use but I won in the end. Mould in shower tray off-putting . No 13A sockets near bed. Bed low down and close to floor. Bedside light is really something and uses a 2A round pin plug. Finding breakfast location an early morning challenge.

Location great with easy access to walks. Interesting University campus, fairly lively as Christmas Market was running. Room clean and bright with good heating by radiator.

No information on how to find it….no map… once on campus it’s very confusing and no-one to ask…. Would have been a real problem if I hadn’t been met by a friend who is s student there. Internet didn’t work and service desk only available Mon to Friday. Goodness knows if reception is ever staffed, but fortunately didn’t need anything… there is a phone number to call, but didn’t test it…
