The stay was great, but I have to say, when we stayed at the honeymoon sweet close to the river, I struggled a bit to sleep because of the loud sounds from the river, which was lovely to hear, but I seldom woke up in the middle of the night because of it. But that's a very personal issue, other people might sleep deep because of the noice of the river. I enjoyed the stay at the stream more, it was so nice and tranquil, I slept like a baby. I also wished there was a bit more variety to the food, and with the drinks at the bar, but still, everything that I ordered was great! And also with the above rating for the value for money, I deducted a point, because personally I think the weekend was a bit too expensive. The accommodation was already very expensive, and then every drink and meal added to that made it go over my budget a bit at the end. What you get is very high end yes, but still, I worried about the bill at the end quite a bit.

Everything was exceptional! The food was first class, the jacuzzi was also fun, the romantic bath was just perfect! The area is also situated in a very peaceful and beautiful environment. I also loved that every night we got a night cap and a cookie. All and all it was fantastic and we enjoyed every moment.

The Food was not tasty at all, the portions are smalls, and the cost for both food and drinks is exorbitant and inconsistent. Menu and pricing need to be re looked at overall.

My husband and I had the pleasure of spending the last 2 nights of our honeymoon at Summerfields Retreat and Spa, and it was an absolutely magical experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality by the staff, especially Mariana, who went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our stay was perfect. Her attention to detail and genuine care made us feel truly welcomed and pampered throughout our time at the resort. The amenities at Summerfields Retreat and Spa are top-notch. Our room was beautifully appointed, with luxurious furnishings and breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. We enjoyed relaxing in the spa, indulging in decadent treatments that left us feeling rejuvenated and refreshed. One of the highlights of our stay was the incredible food. Each meal was a culinary delight, with fresh, locally sourced ingredients prepared to perfection. We looked forward to dining at the restaurant every day, eager to sample the delicious creations of the talented chefs. But perhaps what stole our hearts the most was the adorable in-house cat Whiskas who became our unexpected companion during our stay. We formed a special bond with him and were sad to leave without saying goodbye, assuming he was busy with his cat activities. We hope he is doing well and look forward to visiting again someday, perhaps to see him grown into a regal feline. Overall, our experience at Summerfields Retreat and Spa was nothing short of magical. It's a place where every detail is thoughtfully curated to ensure the utmost comfort and enjoyment of guests. We left feeling relaxed, rejuvenated, and with memories that we will cherish for a lifetime. We cannot wait to return to this little slice of paradise. Massages could be a lot better. Would like a selection of oils to choose from and better communication from the therapists. Like introducing themselves and asking where to focus on. The restaurant food prices are very high for the quality and portion size you get. Very noisy farm workers waking you up early morning.

Amazing location, we had a really special visit. There are great facilities at the hotel and spa was very relaxing. Tent and outdoor shower / bath was amazing, it made our stay a unique experience. Staff were exceptionally helpful and accommodating and booked us a panoramic tour which we loved

I ordered salmon for dinner it was a bit burned did not like it. Some of the staff @ the dinning hall were not friendly she did not give us butter for bread @breakfast, when we asked for it she became annoyed, I loved my room even though it was a bit far from the river, no visible charging points I had to search for a plug to plug my phone charger. A cart or trolley for the luggage would assist a lot

We stayed in the Stone House at the top of the property. The setting is beautiful and the sunsets incredible, but I don’t think it’s set up for Winter stays. The house is sparsely decorated, with cement floors, walls, kitchen etc. The fireplace doesn’t work as it just smokes up the house. It would have been nice to have a gas heater or aircon in the living area. Some extra blankets for bedrooms would also be nice. The bedding is hard and noisy, so not the most comfortable sleep. The main bathroom is also outside, which is quite tricky in the middle of the night and cold. In Summer, I’m sure it’s absolutely spectacular!

The property is absolutely stunning and set on the Sabie River. So much detail has gone into making special spaces to relax and enjoy the surroundings. The restaurant is lovely, the spa treatments were amazing and the staff are the best there is. We were made to feel so welcome and we loved our two days there. Nothing was too much trouble and every staff member was so friendly.

The menu for Dinner is very limited, if you're staying more than 2 days, you would quickly get bored with it.

It was an amazing experience, room was perfect,views were magnificent, massages were amazing, we wanted to relax and that was achieved , we went back rejuvenated.
