No tissues in the room (most hotels provide them).

Room large and comfortable with a nice view of the sea. Breakfast excellent. The location was close to facilities in Eastbourne which is what we wanted. Service good.

    Nothing

Really location up the beachy head end of Eastbourne, good sea view and nice park and restaurant in front of hotel. Staff great, breakfast was good, and for 3 of us the family room was great (1 adult, 1 baby, one 9 year old).

Room we got was not so great. Was set up for disabled persons, so basin and mirror in bathroom were too low. I guess we didn’t pay for a view so we certainly didn’t get one.

Location is great. Especially for a walk to Seven Sisters. Breakfasts were excellent. Staff were super friendly and efficient.

One of the bedroom’s decor was tired in comparison to the other guest room we had .

The staff were friendly & efficient. The breakfast was well organised & there was an excellent choice of items to suit everyone. I particularly like the fact that you pre order your tea , coffee & toast no queuing at the horrible machines !

Needed good reading lights and a shower one could adjust temperature wise. The shower was in the bath and came from the bath taps. It was impossible to get a reasonable temperature. If you turned up the hot it was boiling. Turn up the cold it was very cold. As a result one could not have a shower.

The room had very nice decor ( lovely curtains and painting on the wall). Good modern bathroom with mixer taps on the basin and shelves for wash bags etc. Comfortable beds and pillows. Very nice looking furniture ( wardrobe chest of drawers and bedside table) The room was compact but had everything needed and was nice. Helpful staff. Lovely general areas in the hotel.

Kitchen was short staffed at breakfast time, so delays in receiving breakfast in room, when requested as part of the room service. Ended up collecting it myself. But kitchen staff apologised for the inconvenience. And did not charge the £5 fee (per day) it otherwise would have cost.

Great location, very close to shops and restaurants. And just a short walk to the town centre. Stayed in a lovely seaview room. And the hotel is only steps from the beach. Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff.

The restaurant at the hotel was quite busy in the evening and we waited up to 1.5 hours for a dinner starter.

The family room was exactly as expected. Breakfast is good as always. You have a good variety of restaurants to have dinner. You can park your car just outside a hotel.

My partner and I were there at the weekend and there was a wedding on the Friday night and a birthday party on the Saturday. The parties themselves did not cause any problem or noise. However, afterwards, people were very loud in front of the hotel waking us up and talking for at least half an hour. Also, I think one piece of toast with a hot breakfast or 2 boiled eggs is not adequate and I was not offered any more. Otherwise the buffet and service was great.

It is in a great location, within walking distance of the town centre and directly on the seafront. Staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very spacious (a sea-view double), clean and well resourced.

    Nothing really 👍

It felt and looked quite regal 😄 and all the ajoing rooms and lounge areas were lovely with all the furniture placed to perfection. TBH honest I was surprised at how nice it was, I don’t why, I just was!..The staff were very friendly and helpful. My room overlook the sea which was nice and was clean and tidy for our stay. The dining area was very nicely laid out. The hotel was very close to some nice places to visit, eat and drink including the bistrot across the road and we had a nice walk to a lovely pub about a mile up the road. Had a lovely time thank you.

Bathroom had some broken tiles. More draw space would have been good. Minor things really!

This is a fantastic, historical building that has evidently been recently renovated very well. The original features together with more modern additions blend seamlessly. Our room overlooking the sea was beautiful, clean and well furnished with everything we could want. The breakfast was lovely, and the staff team friendly and efficient.

Only a suggestion but I feel a stand up cubicle type shower would be better as opposed to shower over bath incase person w mobility issues is using it.

Great location ( I lived in Eastbourne and I feel this is the nicest area of the seafront ) . It’s a clean well looked after hotel. Lovely breakfast . Sea view room was lovely.

One night I felt I was being guided towards the back of the restaurant where there were very few people. I declined and asked for the table I had the night before. The same night my choice of how my food was cooked - medium rare - was queried twice, and I ended up with a well done piece of steak. When I raised this it was sorted. The water tasted a little odd but maybe I'm not used to the local water - I raised this with Reception when I left.

The room was very spacious and overlooked the sea. There was a separate shower room as well as a bathroom - both a little dated but perfectly functional and clean. The bed was comfortable. Good choice of food for breakfast and items such as kippers and poached eggs could be ordered separately when you go in. Good coffee. I ate in for two of the three nights and again there was a good choice. I was on a walking break and had forgotten my walking stick - Reception sorted me out with one from lost property! Easy walk into town and to the Gallery showing Ravilious, and the Turner Prize.
