Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomWanted to eat in the brassiere once everyone had arrived to be told it was closed. Rooms were clean but very tired looking and could do with updating no air con in rooms and windows that didn’t open for some fresh air. Also no fan in bathroom and no plug in bath. Only one towel in room, but these were replenished once we asked at reception. some places around the hotel looking tired too. Chair arms in the brassiere dirty and could do with upholstery cleaned. Little things letting it down. Got told brassiere was open at 11am got there at 12 and told it wasn’t and to go to Hathaway pub didn’t want to as we were dressed steady for the wedding and wanted cocktails. A lovely lady did manage to get someone to make them but this took nearly 25 mins to make there were only 2 of us. Would have had a couple but didn’t have time.
Location was fab for attending a wedding nearby.staff were friendly and very helpful breakfast was extremely yummy fresh hot and plentiful. Had a cocktail’s in the brassiere just before going to the wedding which were lovely.

United KingdomThe bathroom was dated and needs refurbishing. A few signs of wear and tear in the furnishings. But these things would not put me off from returning.
The pool was fab, staff friendly and the breakfast very good. I'm a gluten free vegetarian, so not easy to accommodate, but they did. The beds were very comfy.

United KingdomThe room 124 was very dusty all over especially behind the TV. We were a couple staying but there was only 1 bottle of water, the bathroom was noisy was almost like the toilet was on a constant flush. We waited over 30mins to have wine glasses sent to the room to wich wasn’t very clean. Couldn’t get TV to work for ages kept saying no signal eventually it worked. Bar prices for single vodka and coke were ridiculous.
Comfortable and spacious room. Breakfast was absolutely spot on and all presented nicely staff very friendly and always happy to help.

United KingdomSwimming pool was not quite warm enough. Breakfast felt a little cramp - not enough space for everyone. Prices were a little high for food in the evening.
Location was great. Half an hour from Cadbury World and 15 minutes from Drayton Manor. Hotel fulfilled request of decorating room for a birthday celebration.

United KingdomExpected a bit more for the money, having stayed in similarly marketed spa hotels at the same price point which were much better. The place was a little bit shabby, mismatched furniture in breakfast room etc, pub was cold, and the food was pricey for what it was. Very surprised at how the brasserie looked after seeing the prices on that menu… Only one bath towel and bath mat in the bathroom, no hand or second bath towel so had to go and get them. No fresh orange juice at breakfast it was orange squash and cheap apple juice. WiFi kept dropping in and out and there wasn’t much signal for mobile data when the WiFi was being dodgy
Location was close to NEC and the staff were all friendly. Bed was comfy, shower was nice and hot etc

United KingdomCan’t understand the £100 difference in price for the same room I stayed in 2 months earlier. The room wasn’t worth the hike in price but the hotel is central and convenient.
Made to feel very welcome with my beloved Whippets for our day at Crufts. Staff all welcoming and the room was comfortable. Would definitely return.

United KingdomDecor a little tired especially in bathroom. Shame about sticky tape on dining room carpet.
Large room. Good facilities . Comfortable. I found the breakfast choices limited as they were either fried or sugary but a staff member helpfully found some more healthy options for me. Nice quiet location.

United KingdomI had asked before hand if they offered Gluten free options, breakfast was good, but the evening meal was a choice of curry or a burger without the bun. It was supposed to be dog friendly and I booked because the pictures showed lovely green areas. That's a shut off golf course, all we had was the car park to walk the dog unless you went off the hotel grounds, very disappointing. Also the dogs were not allowed anywhere in the hotel apart from to and from the rooms and couldn't be left alone in the room. The spa facilities were good but because we could leave our dog only my daughter got to go for a swim. I wouldn't recommend it as dog friendly. For the price the room was quite basic, nothing extra for the price we paid. A bottle of water would have been nice. Just very basic coffee and tea facilities and bathroom supplies. You were paying extra for facilities you couldn't use if you had a dog with you.
The staff were very helpful & friendly. It was clean throughout

United KingdomBreakfast service was awful, the hot food wasn’t replenished quick enough, so if you had 3 items on your plate you were told 15 mins for the items you hadn’t got, no mushrooms, no eggs, no beans so the items already picked were cold when getting what you were waiting for. Coffee and tea machines weren’t working properly. Not enough staff to cope with the amount of people.
Nice place. Friendly Staff. Nice rooms. Lovely buffet food at our function and plenty of variety, hot and cold very nice. Efficient staff looking after everyone. Lovely variety for breakfast.

United KingdomThe breakfast was a buffet type arrangement and was not worth the extra the hotel were charging, there was not difference to breakfast you could buy locally (in Kingsbury or Tamworth) and it was not cooked to order- so was cold etc. Food in general was not as good as it could have been- the hotel has local competition from local pubs that have really good food (Kingsbury, Tamworth and the Swan at Neither whitaker). I have a pasta and Chicken dish; it lacked flavour although being advertised as spicy and the chicken seemed to be quite rubbery. The bar was also overcrowded as it seemed the only place to get food (unless dingin in the more formal annexe- which again didn't seem value for money. The alternative bar closed quite early meaning the curtailment of what was supposed to be a romantic evening early, which if this had been known we may have picked an alternative venue. The Spa and pool is quite small and was overcrowded and places like the Sauna and Steam room where full of young children and parents because of this. This wasn't really as relaxing as it could, again at the price point, the hotel seemed not live up to expectations.
The Deluxe room was comfortable but this comes as an extra charge but I cannot say that there was anything more than what you would expect as standard in the Deluxe room. The addition for the cost seemed to be for Air Con which is standard in most other hotels.
