Had a lovely welcome from Tony site manager he was very polite and explained what we needed to know. The site was spotless and very well maintained. Lodge was comfortable and warm and hot tub preheated ready to use.

Lodges are about 7/8 out of 10 for cleanliness. Could do with door mats on the inside and possibly including a hoover and mop in the lodges.

the hob didn’t work, no access to streaming services (although advertised), cleanliness was overall good but bathroom hadn’t had a deep clean, leaving residue from previous guests.

the view, the hot tub was always ready to use and very hot, the cabin was warm and felt very home like. Also beds were very comfortable and the woman who let us in was very friendly and helpful on arrival (possibly the owner).

Not things that we didnt like, but just a few things we could have been abit picky about, but we loved our stay!!! TV could have been better, no HDMI ports or netflix which was on the booking info! Had sky, but just normal channels and free view in bedroom, so we did have some TV No wifi for duration of the stay, but we was told it was getting fixed The bed was broken and wasnt that comfy

Cabin was great Good location and staff were very helpful Quiet and very cosy! Nice hot tub Good sectioned off area for our dog Cabin was very private and out of the way, which was great! Had everything we needed for kitchen, plenty of towels, extra toilet rolls Had a cot and high chair for our baby Washing machine to use Heating in cabin, so was always warm Just an over all great stay and we would definitely stay again! I liked everything! We didn't have pots and pans to start but, this was managed quick and easy and sorted in minutes. The hot tub area could benefit from a light on the side of the lodge as was very dark when going around to open (my daughter slipped on the floor and hurt herself and cut toe-nothinf major but lights would have helped). The floor area by hot tub would be better supported with non slip flooring around edge to prevent slips. Wood was slightly green due to spillage over time and a little dangerous. WiFi would be good as lodge was advertised 'streaming TV available' which it was not! When I purchased the lodge it stated SMART TV with streaming available but nothing could be accessed due to no internet which was a little annoying as was not what I thought I'd booked.

All above said, the lodge was really nice and comfortable and the hot tub was amazing!!! Great size for 6 people! Staff were always available and supportive. Dealt with issues very quickly and with assurance.

Needs a bit of tlc to keep it as nice as it should be, just simple little things door handle loose, couple of windows didn’t close correctly, plug in sink got stuck, shower taps difficult to turn, didn’t put us off I fixed most myself.

Handrail for steps up to the lodge, a gate across the decking as we have a dog so we could let her onto the decking without worrying about her running off to chase the ducks. But nothing that would stop us coming back.

Lovely peaceful location. Barnwell Lodge was really nice with hot tub. Kitchen well equipped with washer dishwasher, fridge and freezer. Would certainly stay again. Dog friendly.

We couldn't sleep in the master bedroom as the hot tub was right outside the room and was very noisy through the night. We didnt complain as there was only 2 of us we slept in the other bedroom.

A few items weren't the best, we couldn't get our cooker working properly, the blind in the bathroom was broken and not enough pans to enable us to cook our breakfast

4 foul mouthed noisy people in next cabin.was so peaceful Friday afternoon, then they arrived.disgusting language.no regard for anyone'.else.screaming girls ,etc.beautiful location and cabin....pity about neighbours...kept us awake.

Location ....cabin.view.....can imagine it bn very peaceful...obviously we were unlucky. Made best of it.

There was no Internet or dvd player, came with 3 kids and they got bored very quickly as there was nothing to watch on the television come dinner time, tv had Netflix but as there was no Internet on site it was pointless

The lodge we was in was was in a good spot and out the way so felt very private with was good as could just relax and not worry about being overlooked

We had problems with the toilet not flushing and had to find someone to sort it, we also had to ask for the bath to be cleaned as it had got scum and hair in it.. The hot tub was a little small for 4 adults to share. We had to g and ask for keys as wasn't in door like told on arrival.

The lodge we booked initially was dreadful, it was a caravan painted brown. Too small for the 3 of us. We paid another £200 to be moved to a proper lodge which was amazing.
