the network wasn't too good so I couldn't speak to my family. And the water was way too cold but it wasn't that big if a problem.

The location is very beautiful and peaceful, the hotel gave us free WiFi connections.

Room was run down and could do with some new furniture. Widow was fogged up between the panes of glass. Food wasn’t the best but still edible. Could have had more selection.

There was an unfortunate incident OUTWITH the hotel’s control that dampened our experience. Like I say this was outwith the hotels control and handled very professionally by the manager.

Size of the room 102 quite small. Bathroom minute. Only small/medium size people will fit. Anyone over 5’5 can’t sit on the toilet, ridiculous space although clean.

Nice decoration, bar and dining room. Parking area good. Pub and fish n chip shop across from hotel as an option. Breakfast ok.

rate was good at time of booking but for some reason it did not register the ages of my two children. once that was confirmed it added another £40 onto the bill. So still a decent rate but not the value for money i had expected. for the money i did end up paying i would probably have looked for something. else

The bar man was particularly unfriendly. So much so that we walked to the other hotel to eat and drink. We had noisy neighbours who kept us awake until after 2am. We knocked on the wall to quieten them down but this was ignored. We saw them leave in the morning so didn’t mention it but felt that the room walls were not particularly well sound proofed.

The staff on reception and in the restaurant were helpful and pleasant and our room had a good view.

Couldn't open door to room. Fire alarm going off x 4. Couldn't eat in bar unless you had a dog. Hotel was very cold.

We originally booked for 2 nights and extended it an extra night however, that extra night was a completely different story, fire alarm went off twice to which their response was it was a mistake alarm but this was at 10pm at night and woke me and my partner up out our sleep, when I went downstairs to check the staff were in like a congregation in the lobby, black shutters down for the first time at reception and it was quite intimidating especially with it being about 10 men staff standing giggling and talking ( not English speaking language ) this sent me into a severe panic attack with the alarm and then seeing that to the point I had to get out the hotel with my partner to try calm down. Staff were then in the sauna when we returned and the shutters were a still down and desk all dark and barely seen the man sitting behind it when we asked for extra milk for tea which gave me a freight also. We were both then up all night and my partner had a meeting the next day to which we are both shattered and we didn’t even have breakfast either, we refused to pay the extra night due to no sleep, not eating breakfast, poor night staff choices and actions and in their words a mistaken fire alarm that went off twice within 10 minutes of each other. Staff then phoning me up after we left hotel and I called back to explain the situation briefly as explained my husband was in a meeting and he wanted a manager to call back at 2:30pm to then being jumped on repeatedly about paying that bill and another non management staff coming on the phone call and repeating this too and threatening with police and bad review as a customer on booking.

Hotel location is beautiful and outstanding views and great place to eat and also great location to venture out on foot to eat at other places.

Not great for car park spaces if here on a busy night as parked on a hill round the side if all taken. Found a hair on the bed and spiders in the room. Staff were very blunt

Cleanliness - Generally felt a little dirty and had materials around the lobby for presumably renovations. In the room though the mugs left out for tea/coffee had dirty spoons in them that still had sticky coffee on them.

They didn't allow early check in - the corridors had a load of housekeeping supplies left unattended. The view from the room is nothing as promised on the app, we just had a building facing us.

The cleanliness was nice in the rooms. Breakfast was nice

Had to ask for kettle and towels for the room. Rather noisy early mornings. Very few sockets for room. Breakfast not enough choice either full English or continental. Came every day with either beans of egg stone cold it was included in our room price which was a good deal but would not pay the £12.50 otherwise.

Good price. Location was good for us. Staff friendly.

Reading the review we thought this was going to be an awful stay but while it is tired, particularly the carpets, I've stayed in worse Travelodges. The main feeling is this is run as a motel, with an absentee owner.

Pretty good light cooked breakfast compared to the reviews we read. Bar good value and comfortable. Room was far cleaner than expected. We were called before arrival to ask if we wanted a dinner reservation which was a nice touch.

Breakfast was cold. No soap in toilets in the main toilets at the foyer. Singer was supposed was advertised as female but got a man Kevin who wasn’t a good singer

No lock on bathroom door. Tv didn’t work properly because of ver old tv and remote control.
