    i) There's a very, very long walk to the bedrooms. ii) When in London on business I normally stay with friends or family; this was the first time I chose to stay in a hotel. I had to pay £10 for overnight parking - this was not mentioned on the Booking.com website. To add insult to injury, I live in Somerset and have not locked my homes up for the past fifteen years but my business vehicle, a Transit, was broken into overnight. The staff refused to show me the CCTV footage or give contact details for the M.D. Bearing in mind I've made several citizens arrests over the years including disarming a South African bank robber in a hands on John Wayne type fight, I was not particularly impressed.

    Breakfast was excellent

Although not to much of an issue there was some refurbishment going on.

Staff were helpful and attentive, food was decent and room clean.

I was informed on arrival that because I had booked through a third party & not directly with the hotel It would cost me £10 to park my car. The third party website advertised parking as free. Very misleading !!

When I came back from an event at a different venue. I was greeted with vans blocking the entrance to the building. The stink of weed intoxicated the whole area even on the street. I could just about get to the entrance on the door to get into the hotel which was unmanned which questioned the security of the building. People high and drunk staggering everywhere I just about managed to not get burns or alcohol split on me or my expensive Indian outfit. Very disappointed with the lack of decorum and shocked to see this sort of behaviour at a hotel and even more surprised no police due to the amount of drugs being smoked openly. Apart from that the hotel was fine.

I was upgraded and the room was clean and modern.

The lighting in the room wasn’t great. A bright light over the Mirror to blow dry hair and put make up on would have been a welcome addition. (This however seems to be the case in alot of hotels I have stayed in previously).

Big room. Clean. Comfy Bed. Friendly and efficient staff. Nice food. Dog friendly.

The heavy set supervisor walking around always looked grumpy and never once said hello; he needs additional training. There was no refrigerator, and we needed to keep the baby food from spoiling. There was no microwave, but that's not as important as a refrigerator. The most thing that I can remember and will never forget is to be told the room service was not available for 2 hours because there was an event going on and the facility was short of staff... (I guess being hungry didn't matter) well being short of staff is not my families or my issue, but the hotel felt I should be punished by short staffing; again someone needs additional training but now on scheduling. I will never forget that!

The cleaning people were warmer than the heavy set manager. The room service staff was nice. The young lady at the reception desk in the daytime was also wonderful and very helpful.

A very old building, had to get in one lift then walk along the corridor to then get in another lift to our room. Which doesn’t sound much but with luggage etc was a little inconvenient. The lifts had carpet in which didn’t smell great. Overall the hotel is very dated and a little grubby. However this didn’t effect our stay. Just isn’t so pleasing on the eye.

Good hotel, we stayed here as it was close to a restaurant we wanted to try. The room was of good size and the bed was comfortable. The parking is also really good but must remember to register at reception and the charge is £10 a day.

Having to pay for parking. Was not made aware in advance. Also, information sent in advance said the bar and restaurant was closed until 31 March which was untrue.

Nice room - clean and modern. Lovely staff - friendly, helpful and welcoming. Surprised somewhere so nice allows dogs.

having to use 2 separate elevators to go from the ground floor to the 2nd floor. Being told I would have to pay £20 per hour if I want to check in early

Room was fresh and comfortable. Bathroom was clean and there was adequate towels. And the wedding venue was beautiful, very spacious and well decorated.

Our room had very small windows and dim lighting which made it feel quite gloomy.

The best thing about the Prince Regent is the lovely staff. They were all excellent but I would like to mention Nick at breakfast who was particularly helpful and friendly.
