How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Suggestion but not a deal breaker...a small refrigerator & microwave would be plusses.
Staff was courteous, helpful and responsive. Room ventilation provided a fresh feeling as did the option to open a window a little. Breakfast was very good-- definitely worth price. Liked having a safe to store travel docs, etc.

Unfortunately the only little TINY niggles we found was there were no towel rails in the bathroom so we had to hang wet towels over the bathroom door. Also it would be good if they could perhaps think about adding maybe just a few easy items from the breakfast offer , to the room service menu as it would have been handy for us to get breakfast to the room as we were rushing to get ready and be out the door early for a day time event and it left us a wee bit hungry til lunchtime due to being short on time. Also maybe a little vending machine somewhere for late night snacks/drinks when the bar is closed for those coming back from the pubs and clubs? As we managed to get drinks in the lobby on the Saturday night of our stay but on the Sunday it was all closed with shutters down, so we couldn't grab any treats coming home from a gig at the Hydro - (Because who doesn't love a wee cold Irn Bru for their hangover! Lol ) - but honestly the hotel is really lovely and definitely worth a visit!!
Cosy rooms, absolutely spotless!! , quiet at night and the little touch of the complimentary bottled water and biscuits each day was really nice. Beds were like sleeping on a cloud!! Staff were very nice too, especially house keeping. Also the hotel is right beside lots of good little pubs and The Pavillion Theatre which helped make our stay even better- great place! X

As with other hotels like this, unfortunately we couldn't avoid the normal noises of banging doors, foot stomping above us, and people thinking it's ok to be loud in the corridor at midnight.

Although the advertised soup of the day was leek and potato in reality it was sweet potato ! My startewr was served with the centre still chilled,clearly not been at correct temperature or insufficient cooking time.
All of the staff are very helpful and rooms extremely comfortable. I would happily stay at this hotel again. All of the Maldron and Clayton hotels that I have stayed in have been very comfortable. The breakfast selection was excellent .

Food menue breakfast layout poor very poor quality of food.
Breakfast poor didn't cater for vegetarian staff excellent chef pooreggs were a disgrace dried out. Beans dried out poor quality of ingredients food. Your hotel was fantastic fabulous staff. Than you just poor food. Not a great menu change it change your chef. Regards hope to check on again and see ifmenue food changes.

Staff very attentive but not overbearing, good selection for breakfast self service, early check in was made available to me at a reasonable price, I’ll use this hotel again based on that reason if arriving early in the city.
