Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

We loved our stay but initially I was a bit disappointed in our room with a big coffee stain in the corner and a stain on the sheets. However- the staff were amazing and the restaurant was really delicious too! I had wanted to meet the women whose names were on every email but gave up after asking multiple people at the front desk if they were them lol. We stayed in the older section and the top floor. The view out the window was lovely of the ocean altho it was pouring rain almost all of our visit lol. We really enjoyed the Isle of Skye!

Location great for the short walk into Porteee with the benefit of ample parking in their own carpark. Nice views from our room. The room was spotless, with a really powerful waterfall shower that also had the benefit of a powerful adjustable smaller shower head for those who either don’t like rainfall showers or for those occasions when you would prefer not to use one. Breakfast on both mornings of our stay was extremely good too with a decent choice of cooked to order dishes.

The room was large the bed was very comfortable. Love the robes and slippers. The breakfast was very good , had gluten free options . Other than very salty scrabbled eggs, it was good. The staff was so friendly and very very helpful with what to see in the area. Love the toiletries...

United StatesWe had a couple things not working in the room and the staff was unable to fix them. We did get a very nice unsolicited reimbursement for our troubles that made up for the dysfunctions. Of our one week stay in Scotland including in Edinburgh and Skye, this was the most expensive room per night and it didn’t even include breakfast so it not our best value.
The staff was wonderful, nothing but compliments for them. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom amenities were thoughtful and generous. It was 7-10 minutes’ walk to town.

Where to begin…we chose the right season to visit. Therefore, we had the hotel practically to ourselves. We were able to enjoy 100% of the facilities with no hassle. The staff was more than helpful, adding charm to our stay , the quality of the breakfast was excellent, although, sadly we couldn’t enjoy the restaurant for dinner a it was closed(off shoulder season made for scarcer, but still very enjoyable choices). Their tranquility room adjacent the sauna was just was we needed after a day of hiking. The garden area was perfect to enjoy a glass, or in our case, a bottle of wine while stargazing. PERFECT, is the adjective i will use to describe our stay. A very special thanks to the entire staff at Marmalade. We will return.

The Marmalade hotel staff could not have been more helpful right from reception, restaurant, and room cleaning. Superb facilities, beautifully designed, wonderful food and wine list and exceptionally comfortable room. My sister in law wants to order the same mattress! Difficult to pick a highlight but the sauna and cold water bucket were great fun.

We expected the hotel will be beautiful and new but it managed to exceed our expectations! The room was clean, the bed was comfortable and large. The bathroom including the shower was great. They have our favorite brand of cosmetics. The breakfast was more than delicious. The staff is very kind, they helped us book a restaurant on new year's eve! The best hotel we ever visited!
