The window in our room would not open. The signage to the swimming pool was poor. We were over charged for our drinks at dinner. This was rectified by us when we pointed it out when we handed our keys back. The breakfast buffet was slow to be topped up. Nobody to help get luggage to our rooms.

However, the lights were strange, you needed to enter the room to be able to turn them on. The pillows were not that good. The main issue we faced was how thin the walls were, we could hear the conversations of those staying underneath all night. But the place was stunning.

The room was nice and was stocked with all the typical things you would need in a hotel room. The bed was comfy, however the pillows were not so great. The bath and shower were lovely and the soaps etc smelt lovely. The breakfast was an £37 buffet for 2 which we filled up on and it was delightful. The complementary spa and jacuzzi were amazing, and the staff, especially Jess were wonderful throughout.

Having to wait in a queue to use the spa and to be seated for breakfast. Seemed to be understaffed. Jacuzzi in spa and shower in the room could do with an upgrade. Had to vacate jacuzzi after only 2 minutes for staff to deal with the water quality and this problem went on for longer than an hour so dint get to use it.Not enough loungers for clients to relax by the pool.

We liked the location, the cleanliness, and the feeling of the building in general, lovely hotel decor and the feeling of being in a castle. The food was nice and the room was comfortable. Staff were pleasant.

The cocktail timing was not great as it took too long to serve, but made it up as it was delicious.

The venue has a historical feel but still boosts modern facilities and is located in a peaceful surrounding. The food was deceptively good and affordable. Swimming, spa, and sports facilities are clean and consequent.

Room was not in the main hotel, was in a building several hundred of metres away. Not that nice being so far away from the facilities when it is heavy rain.

Initially we were put in rooms that were not part of the main hotel and looked like 1980’s government subsidized living houses. We had to leave the main lobby and walk outside in the rain away from everything to the rooms. Also I wish they had lit the fire in the main lobby.

The old part of the property was amazing. It was cozy and welcoming. The staff were kind and very helpful.

Spa didn't have a luxury feel to it, but it was clean and well-equipped (sauna, steam room, jacuzzi etc) and towels were provided etc.

Room was very clean and comfortable, quiet and well-equipped with free cans of water, teas and coffee. Beds were comfortable, staff were extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was plentiful and delicious, beautiful rural surroundings. Pool and spa facilities are nice and clean. We liked it so much we booked and stayed an extra night.

We stayed in a junior suite, so the room was very spacious. Good facilities in all rooms. The breakfast was very good, and varied. The staff were helpful (we were at an all day wedding so had to check in late)

One thing about the spa, usually having a sauna/steam/jacuzzi there is always water to keep hydrated. There was nothing in the leisure room, but was in the ladies changing rooms (the ladies changing rooms are a little walk, longer than usual) but there were no cups only a fountain to put your head under (apparently no cups since Covid) which could be updated now.

The property was beautiful, and all staff were friendly. We were supposed to have a suite for 3 people (traveling with my mum and sister) but the room was unavailable due to maintenance, so we were offered 2 connecting rooms which was fine & given complimentary breakfast for the inconvenience. The spa facilities were great, especially in the evening where it was a nice relaxing chilled vibe. We wanted ice & and ice bucket for our room as the main reason for travel was trying on bridesmaids dresses (as my sister lives in England and me in wales so we met half way) and this was no problem (I read previous reviews and thought it would be) however they were happy to provide.
