Restaurant staff and food could improve. Is not terrible, but not to the level of the hotel.

The only complaint we have is that on the Saturday night after a wedding at the hotel; we were woken up at 1am by a very drunk guest banging loudly on the door of the room next to us for quite a few minutes. I don’t honestly know how the staff could mitigate this but it spoiled the night unfortunately

The bedroom was comfortable and had everything we needed. The bathroom was exceptional; the underfloor heating very cosy and the whole room was spotlessly clean. We were really happy with the facilities. The staff were really helpful and friendly with all our questions, and at breakfast each morning we were served promptly and with friendliness. We also had a beautiful view of the river Dee from our window which we loved. We can’t fault the comfort and service at this hotel and feel it was well worth the money.

The path to the car park and reception is a little bumpy with a few holes which are a little deep and could be an issue for tyres.

The staff were very accommodating and welcoming. The hotel was clean and very comfortable. Breakfast also was really great, and we had it delivered via room service - it was a very speedy service and the food arrived still nice and warm. Plenty of car park space as well.

An alternative menu choice for dinner would have been great eg a light bite type menu for people who only wanted something smaller rather than a huge dinner. So we went out for dinner where we would have stayed if there had been a choice. Maybe lose the bath and have a walk-in shower as I had trouble getting into and out of the bath to have my shower as it is very deep and nothing to hang onto to help me get out, so had to call my husband to assist me.

Breakfast was lovely with a great choice and very attentive service, nothing was too much trouble. Lovely warm room and exceptionally clean with a very friendly atmosphere. The receptionist was extremely helpful and friendly. The bedroom was amazing, lovely view, a very comfortable bed, and nice furniture, great that there was a fridge, the shower was good, perfect amount of heating.

Maryculter House Hotel is just fabulous. My wife and I have stayed many times, and it never disappoints. Staff are excellent, the location is serene, and the hotel is so comfortable. We will continue to return while it continues to deliver the high-quality stay we enjoy. Our dog also settles immediately we arrive.
