The 2 parking fines we occurred while unloading the car. We never stayed at the hotel car park, but was told we could unload the car in car park to take luggage up stairs to our room. When your on the second floor and have to make a couple trips, we would really appreciate a little time to do so. Each fine was £100 so £200 in the total. Not happy at all as we have never experienced this at the hotel before. Hopefully the fine are nearly sorted by staff but had to keep posting letter to hotel due to their email not working properly after phoning 5/6 time and given a different email every time. Apart from this we had a lovely 5 day family stay.

Brilliant stay as always, opposite the beach and close to all the amenities. Breakfast is lovely in the morning with a good selection. Room is bright and airy with lovely see views. It’s the 6th time we have stayed. Staff are welcoming and lovely too.

The box before!!

SHOULD OF WROTE THIS IN NEXT BOX ....The only thing that I didn't think was a good idea was having to request if you wanted a fried or poached egg if you didn't want the scrambled egg provided with the rest.By the time my daughter had her poached egg which was a long time her cooked breakfast was finished.I asked for mine before I got my hot breakfast and still had to wait ages for it to come.Apart from that everything was excellent.Lovely friendly staff as well made all the difference to our stay.

The pillows, one was too hard, one had barely any filling but wasn't a big deal to us hence not mentioning it to staff.

We loved the location, Our room was clean and spacious and the staff were impeccable.

We had a Privilege room which was spacious, the bed and TV were huge, and the views were wonderful. The location was excellent. Paignton seems to have been regenerated, so I thought I would stay here instead of Torquay. So glad I did. The staff were very accommodating. Wonderful supervisor in the restaurant (who was doing her Masters in forensic criminology) gave us tips on things to do locally. Fabulous stay, will definitely return.

Room wasn’t cleaned 2 in 4 days as the room door sign was overlooked.

Loved the art from local artists- stunning - loved the decor and 7ft wide bed in the room.

The only thing that let the hotel down was the breakfast. I was really gutted that the breakfast wasn’t so good as from the hotel you would of thought the breakfast would of been so much better.

It was ideal for all the shops the seafront and all the pubs along the front. We love going to stay there it was our 2nd time and we loved it more than our 1st time. Hotel is class.

Parking is very tight, and not really enough spaces for a hotel of this size. Other residents inconsiderate parking made the position worse.

Came back one day after 4 hours out and about and the room had not been serviced. It was done eventually to a good standard. The next few days I just asked for the room to be serviced by a certain time and it was. I would suggest when a complaint is made that you don't try and explain the reason for the problem. Just apologize and get it sorted.

Lovely modern hotel right on the seafront. Good for exploring the area. Good breakfast and dinner. Modern bathroom with shower and good quality toiletries.

Breakfast was a buffet style we arrived at 6:30 staff not fully prepared and the food was cold. Also found the bar area strange, they had an under age young man on duty who was not able to serve alcohol. Ever time you ordered a drink he had to go and fetch another member of staff!

Parking is expensive at £15 for every 24hours, breakfast is rather expensive at £18 per person as much less available than some other places such as premier inn breakfasts. Ordered fried eggs as only scrambled on buffet cart but took 25 minutes to arrive. I think they are struggling to obtain and maintain staff sadly which is common in hospitality these days. Also I don’t agree with this 10% service charge added automatically to everything you order. I feel if you want to tip then it should be down to you and not added automatically. If you choose the half board option as we did you are allocated a £30 per person allowance for dinner, if you are not aware of the 10% service charge you order thinking you are staying within your budget but end up owing money which is then charged to your room. This is unacceptable in my eyes.

Lovely hotel immaculately clean lovely staff, food is great. Very modern. Restaurant manager is lovely and tries to sort out any issues quickly and professionally.

Very hot hotel in general. Especially in rooms even though we had air con / fan on highest we could. Couldn’t sleep as too hot unfortunately. Same at breakfast in the dining area, was super hot there too trying to eat breakfast
