I booked this hotel for my sister and brother-in-law as an anniversary gift. The pictures they have shown me are terrible. (I'm unable to upload them as they're on a camera and not local to me) I upgraded to a "luxury suite", no - still one room. The massive kitchen vent outside the window made it impossible to open the window as it was on 24/7. They didn't want breakfast so I can't comment. The staff were less than helpful and not at all cheery. The paperwork I printed off beforehand showed outdated information such as "you must provide photo ID on arrival", which my sister doesn't have, but wasn't asked for it by reception. That would have saved some worry. It was meant to be a romantic break for them, but they came back tired and weary from lack of sleep due to the noise. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all - but if you do book, don't have room 12!

The outside and the reception were inviting and clean. I'm afraid it stops there.

Our kettle was broken, half of the lights in the bathroom were broken and the shower did not have warm water, especially after 9 in the morning.

The location is good, the beds were fine and overall the facility was in good and clean state.

The bathroom was tiny, location was a fair walk away from the closet tube, the room itself was small, it was noisy and you heard every step in the room above and across the hall. No air conditioning so the room was very hot. The bedding was not changed and there was rubbish left in the bin from the previous resident and the sink was cracked in the bathroom. Not value for money at all.

The location was peaceful and staff were friendly.

They have a petty requirement of photo ID needed at check in. Ok if you are foreign, with a passport to hand but for anyone British just staying in London for a night one does not necessarily have photo ID available. Fortunately I did have my driving license but there seemed to be no budging on this and had I not had that, I couldn't have checked in which is pathetic.

Very convenient, very clean and comfortable but the room was tiny and was very hot in the heatwave. There was a fan fortunately but that was very loud. I couldn't have survived without it.

I have stayed here over 50 times pre Covid and this hotel has gone downhill in my opinion The room was tiny which was not a huge problem but the bathroom looked tired. The sink wouldn’t drain and it could have been cleaner The breakfast is very very basic. The staff were not that friendly It was always my hotel of choice. I’ll look elsewhere in the future

I would not say the facility and size of the room could be classified as 4 stars. Staff was not very warm I requested a crib and it wasn’t given to me due to the size of the room, but at a surcharge for a bigger room I could have had it. A bit disappointing. Breakfast staff very friendly and one of the male receptionist very helpful helped me with the buggy as, despite the lift to access the different floors, there are a few steps to access the main entrance which are not the easiest to access if you travel alone with infant/buggy.

The shower needs a curtain, not pleasant to have the whole bathroom flooded. As well as room was quite hot, since the window can be opened just a pinch, so would be good if anyone thought about ventilation. Also the hair dryer's plug was broken, not that I mind air drying my hair, but would have been handy.

My room was loud. There was some support of fan or pipes that made intermittent but relatively constant noise all day and all night. I heard every conversation in the hallway. Staff seemed uninterested in helping at reception. I felt like I was interrupting their chat in the back room each time I approached. On the phone, they didn’t understand what I was asking (and I’m an English speaker). There is no luggage room, so to leave luggage you have to leave it accessible for anyone in the reception area. The reception area is crammed with luggage. There was little selection at breakfast.

We booked a standard double room which was small, no space for bedside cabinets, the bed was up against the wall. Little room for 2 people to pass each other. No air con but there was a fan in the room which was needed.

The location was excellent for restaurants, bars, tubes, Portobello Market. All within easy walking distance. The room was clean, bed very comfortable, good quality bedding and towels. The hotel is in a quiet location which is good for London. Continental breakfast was included - croissants, toast, choice of cold meats and cheese, yoghurts, cereals and fruit.

My check in was not good got there in morning told my room was not ready fine left my bag went back at night to be told by different person i was not on system took me 40 min to get a room when all i wanted to do was go bed then got phone call in moning telling me i to be at reception in 10 min as i had paid for room size of room and bathroom very small but it was london
