It was very noisy in the morning! Doors slamming shut. Also, no noise proofing through the walls. There was a family with a child in the room next door lot us and it was very loud.

I liked the pantry. The bed was very comfy. I liked the record player player. The bathroom was nice. Staff were friendly.

Another vegetarian option on the menu would have been good that said what we had was a wonderful cheese soufflé I’d highly recommend so this is a very minor nitpick.

You couldn’t get a better location in Margate for a hotel, when you walk in to reception it feels like you’re on the continent. From start to finish hotel staff were excellent, warm and friendly without being fussy. The room was beautiful, beach vibes and comfortable, there an effortless style, a real experience you don’t often find. There was a pantry with free snacks and pastries on the floor above which was a fun touch. We had a balcony overlooking the sea and it was a real joy to chill out there and enjoy the view and the beach life. The staff booked us a spot for sunset drinks on the roof bar which is well worth the visit for the epic view and delicious cocktails. We also ate at the hotel restaurant The Pearly Cow which has a balcony section if the weather is good. The food was very high quality and cooked to perfection, and the waiter was charming, down to earth and couldn’t help you enough. These guys really know what they’re doing. You get city service with small town charm here and as I said there’s a continental air. They’ve created a little world in this hotel and they seem to love what they do. I travel a fair bit and over the last few years, due to personal circumstances, we’ve had to holiday mostly in the UK and I have to say this is one of the best hotels I’ve had the pleasure of staying in. A real surprise and a total treat in an arty upcoming town. Don’t think, just book.

The room was absolutely gorgeous. Kitted out brilliantly. A huge bed. They even provided beach towels. We had a dog with us, which we informed them of and there was a dog bed and food bowls there on arrival.

For the price, car parking should have been included and not charged for additionally. Although dog friendly, there was no provision for a dog owner to eat other than the seats near the door which is basically a lounge area.

We stayed 1 night in large room with balcony and sea view followed by two nights in one of the Lookout Suites (there was a problem with water supply to the bathroom in the original room so we were rehoused). The original room was nice enough and only cold weather stopped us using the balcony; we did however feel that clothes storage was not great and was compounded by the design of the room not allowing for a suitcase to be anything other than a tripping hazard! The Lookout Suite seemed larger and airier, with a bit more storage and the window and the view from it was amazing; bit of a shame though - particularly bearing in mind no balcony - that there was only one chair by said window when there was space for two……..Both rooms were stylish and without wanting less style we can’t help but think that just a little more attention could have been paid to practicality…..

Friendly helpful staff, clean, good breakfast in lovely restaurant, stylish, beds large and comfortable, communal pantry and record players in rooms excellent touches, parking easy and secure, restaurant not cheap but to be fair the food was delicious and beautifully served and it did feel special. The sea and beach views from restaurant and sea view rooms are really superb and interesting.

The bath had a leak. The door to the adjoining room was unlocked and the family next door came in by mistake!

We were disappointed that the restaurant was closed Monday and Tuesday when we stayed. The restaurant is featured prominently in booking features and no mention of this. The breakfast food however was wonderful, and an amazng view.

Lovely room, great breakfast, stunning views from the restaurant, record player in the room was a very nice touch (we donated a record!). Seaside location, independent shops, bars and restaurants all brilliant, people were friendly.
