Communicated well via booking.com's messaging service, accommodated our request for an early book in, the bed was comfortable and the accomodation was in a relatively quiet location a short walk from the town centre and ferry terminal. The breakfast was a choice of cereal, cheese or instant porridge which suited us. All self service from packets but the bonus is that you don't have to be up for a specific breakfast time. Ideal for people travelling without a car.

I can't say there was anything wrong with this place, each to their own but to me it was perfect for what I wanted

Location was perfect for me, a social trip so everything I needed was there, comfortable bed, continental breakfast isn't for everyone but plenty coffee, suited me, it was a lot more pleasant to stay there than in some hotels and cheaper too, the host made sure I was ok and if I needed anything I only had to ask, put her trust in you to look after the place

Breakfast was very minimal. prepacked and waiting in room arrival. Couldn't get main lights on, only little lights.

The need to wash the dishes in the bathroom basin, quiet unhygienic. The shower was very difficult to regulate- either scolding hot or cold Lack of hanging hooks for towels and tea towel.

It is a bit cramped for two people with luggage, we had 2 small suitcases and day packs each. But it worked for 2 nights. Big TV with netflix and prime access

Sadly I wasn’t feeling great before I arrived. Asthma and chest infection. It’s an old property so it was a bit musty and not best for my chest at that time. But that was my problem. Ventilation could have been better but overall it was still fantastic.

Very comfortable and nicely situated place. Spent two nights there, was just perfect. I got a comfortable nice clean room in a quiet street, just a few yard away from the marina. Hostess called now and then to ensure everything OK. Just perfect.

Was cold, it had a very high ceiling and tiled floor which made it hard to heat

clean and had a very comfortable bed, very convenient for the ferry terminal. Good breakfast provided.

The apartment sometimes smelled quite strongly of cigarette smoke. I think people must have been smoking in the close next door, which wafted through to the room. Ceiling lights didn't work.

Breakfast was good. Location was perfect - right in the heart of Stornoway. Bed was very comfy! Shower was lovely and warm. Great communication with host.

Location was superb, room was very comfortable, if I ever get the chance to visit Stornoway in the future, I would stay here again if available. on one side of the property there is an excellent chip shop, and on the other side an excellant cafe, what more could you want? Breakfast was adequate, certainly enough to get you started for the day

Breakfast was cereal, yogurt and fruit. Tiny room but everything you needed. It obviously used to be a shop. Quirky. Nice under floor heating.

A former shop premises tastefully converted into a simple room with bathroom. Actually felt more like an apartment due to the attention to detail. Huge TV, fridge stocked with all the essentials, everything high quality. The location is very central with plenty of free on street parking nearby. Excellent communication from the host, a simple key box used for access. Fish and chip shop next door on one side, on the other a nice coffee shop which was very useful! If you are looking for accommodation in Stornoway I doubt there is anything out there that would beat this for the price.
