Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

United KingdomNothing we didn't like, but just some observations. Sound proofing not so great, and room was very small, but that should not be an issue unless you are intending on staying indoors all day. Beware of the shop at the end of the road - the one on the right of the two - they will massively overcharge you and steal your money.
Location was great, in a quiet street, but very close to Hyde Park and the nearest Tube station just a ten minute walk. Room was small but impeccably clean and modern, and was a perfect two-night stay for our day trips and museum visits. Staff were discreet and helpful and the cleaning team were super friendly. Since other places in London are so expensive, for what you get this place is an excellent choice. Would stay again.

NorwayDifficult to hold window open for some air. The aircon was working fine, but it’s just different with wanting to air the room once in a while. Difficult contacting staff outside opening hours even though there was a number to dial.
On the quiet side of the city. Clean bathroom. Cleaner cleaned our dishes, emptied the trashcan and tidied the room. Close to the underground stations and restaurants. The size of the room was perfect for our short stay and little luggage. They refilled tea and coffee everyday. Comfortable beds.

United KingdomI asked for the room at the top floor, and they messaged me that they got my request, but nobody informed me that it is not possible and I will get a room on the GF, until we've got to the hotel, which was very disappointing. When I asked why GF not the top floor as requested, the guy said without bothering to say "sorry" that "it is what it is cos, they are fully booked", so they must have known this a day before when I made a reservation. It is a cheating in the way... because if I had known that I would chose another hotel. The guy at the front desk not nice at all, a bit a stuck up type. The cleaning stuff, I couldn't shake off the feeling, that they looked, as they were scared... Oh, and google map shows the location of this hotel somewhere else, so it is problematic to get there.
The room was simple but nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable. Tea and instant coffee obviously as a standard, but the Nespresso machine in the room was a very nice touch. Big TV with all the platforms available was also cool. There were a lot of cleaning stuff, very polite ladies.
