It was very hard to find staff when you wanted to ask something. It would have been nice to have a point of contact.

It was self-service check-in and check-out which gives guests plenty of freedom. Very central, pleasing location in Oakham. The restaurant served amazing food and offered a 20% discount to guests staying at the hotel.

We didn't really need any member of staff, but it might have been useful to have had one available.

No breakfast, but this is OK and is reflected in the price. The key box system seems a little odd at first, but is in fact very convenient and easy to use. The proximity to the church - and particularly the bell chimes every quarter - are fine if you want that traditional, country feel. Perhaps less so if you're a light sleeper. The usual problems with operating the shower tap, but nowadays this is only to be expected and is the fault of the interior designer and manufacturer, not the hotel

Access to the lift was blocked by supplies for the bar/restaurant. No carpets in the room but not a problem during the summer months. No coat hooks in the room but you could hang a wet coat in the shower.

Located in the centre of the village and only a 10 minute walk from the railway station. Pubs, Cafes and Shops practically on the doorstep. Perfect location for visiting Rutland Water with all of its attractions. Very large room with new fixtures and fittings; a super comfy bed; tea/coffee making equipment; TV; hair dryer; modern shower/toilet and all spotless.

Small things like the nob falling off the shower screen and the shower nob also being lose. Location wise - the location was good apart from the church peeling bells every 15 minutes from 5am onwards - sleep didn't happen after that. If it wasn't as hot it might not have been an issue but we had the window wide open.

Shortly after arrival we discovered that there wasn't a hairdryer in the room and we were unable to reach anybody by phone to make enquiries . Went to the bar in the restaurant downstairs and were surprised to be told that there were no hairdryers on the premises . However the problem was rectified and a dryer was provided the next day .

Breakfast question not applicable as it was not included. We liked the location and cleanliness at the property. Enjoyed an excellent curry meal in the restaurant on the ground floor of the hotel. It was a busy Saturday evening and we were impressed that only two staff were able to cope with the service so efficiently . Special mention for Layla our waitress .

We stayed during a heatwave of 32 degrees, the room was extremely hot and we was not supplied a fan therefore we had to go and buy one!

There was a lot of noise - the room doors automatically slammed and the corridors floor was hard tiled, so you could hear people working up and down and you could hear people talking in the corridor.

Simple 'check-in'. Value for money. Room clean and tidy. Very helpful when my wife left a jacket in the room.

It was not a hotel as there was no reception. It was a suite of rooms accessed by key cards in individual keysafes to which the code was texted to us before arrival. I requested a room with as few stairs as possible but we were allocated the furthest room from the entrance up two flights of stairs. I made it-just!!

The venue was brilliantly clean and comfortable. The food from the linked Indian restaurant next door was exceptionally good and the staff were very welcoming and attentive in a non fussy way.

No reception or person involved, lacks human relationship. We had two rooms for four people, neither room had refilled the shower gel, both rooms the shower drainage smelled of decaying soap. Both rooms had only one bath towel and one hand towel for two adults! Check how many guests you have staying. Noisy at night due to loud talking of other guests and solid floors. Pillow smelt of previous guests. Needs pillow liners.

it was the mattress was a little hard for me, i nver met anyone from the hotel to really speak to if i had a problem with anything maybe have a number so people can contact them if there is an issue with anything.

the room was clean and well presented, i like a softer bed than the one that was in the room it was a bit hard for me, the hotel is in a great location and you can get around Oakham on foot within minutes from the hotel

A lovely building and great value for money! Staff in the resturant below were really friendly and the check in/check out system was really easy and hassle free. Perfect location to enjoy Oakham to its fullest both in the evening and during the day!
