How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.

Nothing really but the shower floor a bit slippery could do with shower mat

The manager at reception was great . We had booked for Superior room but we got upgraded to grand luxury as we had kids with us. Location was great, close to beach & town centre. Rooms were clean & tidy. Only downside was parking which can be difficult at times.

easter holiday make it a little expensive, but the staff is friendly and upgraded our room for free, a cute ensuite and comfortable bed, clean and quite, with any stuff we need

The only reason I've knocked the comfort down was the heat. We were so hot in the rooms, we opened all the windows and shut off the radiators but took a few hours for temp to drop to a comfortable level

Struggled for car parking space as the hotel doesn't have a car park facility. However, there is free car parking on the road which is very hard to get.
The property is very close to the beach and very close to the main town to do shopping.

We had a lovely Easter Holiday The staff were extremely friendly,upgraded our room on arrival,good location,very clean,excellent facilities (Iron, washing machine,cooker..) Very good value for money ( we didn’t ask seafront views as expected more time walk around,hiking on Seven Sisters Country Park) Show was perfect however if you need shampoo and conditioner bring with you Was very happy with our apartment Would come again

If you don't use the air conditioning, the room can get quite hot.
The room was very comfortable and well-equipped with facilities. The kitchen was lovely, and we had a great time preparing breakfast. The shower was large, and I enjoyed lying on the bed while watching the big-screen TV (at just the right angle). Overall, it's an excellent choice.

The room was very hot, even with the air conditioning on.
Room was excellent, two areas separated with a wall and a bed in each so your kids were almost in another room, a little kitchenette with all the facilities you would expect and a private bathroom with decent shower. Room as clean, functional and spacious and the staff were all extremely friendly.

The temperature was cranked up way too high! I’m from Australia so I can handle heat but this was unreal. I was able to adjust it in my room but the communal areas were like a sauna.
Very clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Nothing, except additional charge on arrival for dogs but we had received an email to inform us of this but had missed it, during a busy day.
Large room with high ceilings, comfortable bed and good kitchen space, although not many utensils, if you were planning to cook. Upgraded to a larger room, and given additional later check out. Dog friendly accommodation.

Large clean spacious room with everything we needed perfectly equipped kitchen and large clean bathroom, very comfortable bed plenty of space for all our luggage and our dog. Ironing board, iron, hair dryer, washing machine everything you could possibly need for a long stay. Very well decorated and well presented room, immaculately clean sheets and towels, hand wash, body wash, washing up liquid and washing up materials supplied, kettle, toaster, microwave and full-size oven if you need it! Large TV very good Wi-Fi, card entry system without one single issue. At reception during check-in we were given a bag with tea, coffee, milk and sugar...nice touch.

It was raining but nothing to do with hotel
Warm welcome at reception and nice upgrade without even I needing to ask. The manager was very helpful of my disability and offered me a room on ground floor.
