No A/C, however we did go on the hottest weekend of the year! We had two fans but they were loud. I must also say we were in the top room so the other rooms may not have been so hot.

The hotel was quite hot so we had to keep windows open. Also stairs very steep. No lifts.

The location is perfect and very central. Ideal for shopping in Oxford St and for Hyde Park. Excellent full English breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable beds 🛌 😌

The finishing touches...bathroom door and shower showed water decay. Could use some touching up. Otherwise, nice and clean.

Hotel is in a Great location and made it easy to plan our days. Felt very safe here. Room was easy to access. Breakfast was fantastic. Very comfortable bed!

The bathroom need a proper cleaning especially in the shower plus the door to the bathroom cannot be closed completely. For the breakfast would be nice to have more options.

We stayed when it was unseasonably warm in London and we only had a very small portable fan, and only able to open the window slightly. This unfortunately made the room uncomfortable to sleep at night. There is no lift which is understandable with an older building, this made it cumbersome to climb 3 flights of stairs with large suitcases, which you can't avoid when travelling overseas.

The staff were great , particularly Jay on Reception. He was so helpful and accommodating and great to deal with. The breakfasts were great value.

the hotel was cute but some parts need more maintenance. For instance, our sink leaks a bit. No elevator (which we already knew in advance). so, it’s suitable if you don’t have much luggage. No AC and we were on the last floor so it was a bit hot.

the staff is definitely the star of this hotel. super warm welcoming and the ladies were super kind when serving the breakfast. The bed was comfy!

79 steps to our room which was an attic room. Poorly finished. Requested a lower floor as we are in our 70’s, staying for 3 nights but said they could not change our room.

We were ok with the stairs but you need to make sure when you book that your room is not on the top floor if walking upstairs is difficult. Breakfast is served in the basement.

The staff at Parkwood hotel are so friendly and helpful. Everyone was happy and interested in our trip to London. They gave advice and were helpful with directions. The two people on reception when we checked in and the 'breakfast ladies' were great.

Door didn’t shut properly, but did have double lock and bolt. Turning light on in the bathroom was very loud. Bed and pillows were quite hard.

Great location and to get to from the tube. Staff were polite and friendly, advising of additional tours we could book through reception. Variety of food at breakfast including cooked breakfast, staff were very attentive.

Mattress was not friendly to our backs unfortunately (personal preference, not at all a criticism!)

Huge room with two double beds, although if you were a family of four it would probably be just right for all of you. Reception staff were super friendly, room was clean, tidy & had all the facilities you needed from phone, alarm clock, refrigerator, hair dryer, fan (perfect for the 31st free weather we’ had on our stay), tv, tea, coffee etc with a kettle. Shower was a good pressure and clean, I did find it odd having a bathroom with no windows and the sink was in the bedroom (this is not a criticism at all just personal preference, similar with the mattress, unfortunately it wasn’t so friendly on our backs but everyone will find it different.) Hotel was in perfect location, we had been to the Palladium to watch Russel Howard and it took us about 25 minutes to walk back (stopping for some yummy waffles on the way back to the hotel). Breakfast was good, all you can eat English fry up, with toast, cereal and fruits available.

Older architecture that had good patina. Not fussy, but pleasing and welcoming atmosphere. Clean. Had an en-suite bathroom. Good lighting. Plenty of outlets for recharging. Windows tall and let lovely light in. Comfy beds. The breakfast was great--full English option and fresh and well-prepared food. Very nice overall experience. Would stay again.
