Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI think I might not have liked to stay in the basement rooms. And we were on the ground floor which made me a little nervous as it’s London. But it was fine. I wasn’t mad about the breakfast room being in the basement but really it was fine.
The room was very nice. Very clean. Lovely little bathroom. Everything we needed. Very friendly staff who immediately took care of the few little problems we had. Beautiful old houses that have been converted into a hotel. Lots of the original features of the buildings maintained. Wonderful high ceilings and a floor to ceiling window. Nice looking patio outside our room. The breakfast was pretty good value bearing in mind it’s London. Lots of choices but I’d avoid most of the cooked stuff.

United KingdomThe bed was not very comfy, the pillows were poor. The rooms are very hot. The worst part was the breakfast it was dreadful. The bacon was reconstituted meat and shaped, the sausage had never seen meat and we're not vegetarian. The scrambled eggs were runny.
The location was excellent, close to Kensington gardens, tube and Notting hill. The staff were excellent.

United KingdomIt was all good, only the excessive heating and running overflow in the toilet were issues.
The hotel is in a good location and in a nice area. It feels safe out and about in this neighbourhood and there is a decent pub at the end of the road. The hotel is old but clean and tidy. Not much in the way of facilities but what they have is good.

GeorgiaThe room was small for 2 persons though we expected it.
The hotel is located in an excellent area, near the Kensington Garden, if you want to walk, and very near to subway stations. The staff is welcoming. The hotel has a nice lobby and a small, nicely decorated, inner garden.

PortugalThe room was too hot and it is a little bit small for 3 people. It is well connected with metro, but a little far away from city centre. Also a little bit noisy. You could hear the water from the above floor.
Proximity to metro station and the staff was friendly. Also a lot of amenities and complementery cookies, tea, coffee and water.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The location, near Hyde Park, was fantastic. The room was spacious and impeccably clean, there was a small fridge and a tea setup. The bed was comfortable and the large windows added to the overall positive experience, and having a bathtub was a delightful bonus. Highly recommended!

GermanyThe lifts are pretty slow but they do their job. Free water every day. Very comfortable bed. The bathroom is pretty small and there is no tissue box (I booked a deluxe room).
The whole hotel is in excellent condition and the staff is very friendly. There's a nice outside space where you can sit down for a coffee and a cigarette.

United KingdomDespite it not being particularly busy, the fruit juices weren’t topped up, the waiter on duty wasn’t very customer focused and the quality of the produce (sausages and bacon) were poor.
The breakfast was the weakness to this hotel. The breakfast room was although windowless, bright and pleasant but the food was poor, I wouldn’t use it again.

United KingdomOnce in their room we opt to have a cup of coffee but the little milk cartons that we had had gone off, so we had no milk which wasn't a big problem on the top sheet and the duvet of the bedding was a couple of stain , maybe we just had old bedding, also there wasn't a lot of alternative in vegetarian breakfast when it came to the cooked buffet Apart from that everything else was great cannot fault
Good location easy access to tube station about 10 minute walk from bay water tube station reception was friendly got booked in early which was a bonus as we were on our way to the theater in Shaftesbury avenue nice touch to have water in the fridge on arrival in our room would definitely go back again. All in all we had a lovely night sleep. Thank you.

United KingdomThere was a chair in front of a tiny desk but I couldn’t use it as the space was too tight between the desk and the foot of the bed. Might as well get rid of the chair. Fridge wasn’t cold.
