The only thing was the room was quite cold due to the window being open when we arrived, we couldn’t get the radiators to work but once your snuggled under the big duvet it’s fine

the room was a lot larger than expected and was really clean and comfy. The bath was deep, perfect for a nice soak after a long day of driving. The room had a kettle with tea/ coffees and biscuits provided. The bed was large and comfy with a heavy thick quilt to keep you warm. The staff were really friendly and polite. We had the breakfast included and it was delicious, a buffet style of hot foods bacon, sausage, eggs everything for a full English, it also had a cereal bar and a pastry section with hot drinks and a verity of fresh juices AMAZING!!

The bar is located at the side of the property which is laid out more like a diner, quite a contrast to the rest of this characterful property.

Very central location, a short walk to the town's amenities. Modern and well equipped room. A hotel with great character and features. Very helpful and friendly staff.

while the hotel was brilliant the sound proofing between the rooms was a little thin and the floors creaked all over the place.

very friendly and helpful staff. ideal location just off the centre of the town. parking right outside the front door. the food was EXCELLENT and there was a lot of it - very good value.

Bathroom very small/old for a family room.

Reception staff were excellent. At breakfast many items were empty/missing and we had to keep asking for things. (Basic things like tea, coffee, milk, butter).

It was a bit dated but pleasing to see they were refurbishing some of the bedrooms.

A nice hotel with an adjoining bar and a great location. Breakfast was very good and the staff in the dining room were very helpful.

great staff and a fabulous Sunday afternoon buffet Sunday lunch.

Some of staff in bar / restaurant, although pleasant enough did not greet us immediately and seemed in a rush to take the order without much interaction. Reception person when we arrived was talking on phone and didn't acknowledge or make eye contact with us until call ended (approx. 5 minutes). Reception person who booked us out was positively disinterested, noted our room number and said goodbye. There was no inquiry about our stay. The general decor was adequate but tired in places. Staircases to bedrooms are beautiful but impractical for those with even slight mobility issues.

Nice touches like comfy chairs to rest in at various points. Bookshelf on first floor. Lady serving breakfast (sorry don't know her name) on 7th October was EXCELLENT. She was exemplary and a credit to the establishment. 'Charley' who helped serve our evening meal was very kind and attentive.

Insulation from noise of other guests could have been better and windows should be replaced at some point, as there was a lot of condensation.

It is not accessible. Room was up 2 flights of stairs and there is no lift. The shower in the room took forever to get hot, and this was at 11:30 at night. Had to flush toilet twice for it to actually flush.

It's pretty and in a good location. The food was good in the bar. Staff were friendly.

The hotel needs some investment and is shabby in places

The food both at dinner and breakfast were good. The staff were very helpful and welcoming.
