The air conditioning didn't work in my room but reception changed it from there area for me and the room had windows so just opened them and all was fine.

The hotel staff are great! The location couldn't be better and the breakfast, well Duncan is the star of that! But it is plentiful and very yummy!

Staff were very friendly. The room was cleaned to a high standard each day. They moved our daughter closer to us as her Dad is disabled, free of charge. Food was of a high standard.

I originally requested a room next to my parents but they assigned me a room on the other side of the hotel (but same floor) and when I rung to ask if I can switch rooms to be near my parents, (as originally requested) they said they had a room but I would have to pay more. HOWEVER, the next day they did rectify this mistake free of charge.

Maybe a bit old rooms compared to modern, fashion style hotels, but this is OK, are really fina and keep the classical hotel ambience. Maybe lobby could be slightly improved without loosing the classical touch.

Breakfast was impressive. The room, the classical British-Channel ambience, and the service and treatment from the staff. An experience in itself. Location more than excellent.

Had problem with the TV, which they did say they were having technical problems, we only stayed 1 night for a sporting event, so was'nt a big problem. Netflix , prime etc was available if you could download on your phone.

Early booking in was a big bonus for us, room was great, location was spot on, 1 minute walk to the bus station and the town centre.

I was offered an upgrade for my 2 week stay which i thought was a really lovely gesture til I was told I would have to pay for it. I was there for 2 weeks during low season. Also I had breakfast in the cafe downstairs. The menu states that the Vegetarian breakfast involved mushrooms. When I received the meal there was 1/2 a field mushroom when I challenged this a big white plate was delivered to me with the other 1/2. I did laugh but really! thats quite poor Lack of parking is not good but we did manage to get round that.

The hotel used to offer a Seafood Buffet night every Friday night which was really lovely and we were disappointed that this had been discontinued and replaced with an Asian Buffet which was OK but nowhere near as good as the Seafood Buffet used to be, which is one of the reasons we had re-booked the hotel!

Great location, walking distance to the town centre shops and restaurants and bus station. The hotel is also opposite the Leisure Complex which includes a fitness centre with swimming pool, cineworld complex and fast food areas. The hotel has a nice cafe/bar area at the front of the hotel.

I could not fault this hotel at all. Location was perfect. The staff were fantastic. Facilities were great. Impeccably clean & I’m nutritiously hard to please with cleanliness as I’m easily anxious if something isn’t clean. There was a nice bar in the reception area and a beautiful cocktail bar for guests only. The stand out factor though was the bed. Without a doubt the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept on. We would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat.

Everything was as good as expected for a hotel in this price range. The room was spacious well equipped and very clean. Tea and coffee making facilities included. All the staff I met were helpful and professional. The breakfast is highly recommended.
