Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomI booked this break for my husband's birthday. This was an area we hadn't visited before and we were pleasantly surprised. The Priory was so convienient to the shops and to Westonbirt Arboretum. We were welcomed on the first day by the owner and allowed to check in slightly earlier , she showed us to the room and ran through everything with us. Our room was spacious, clean , with comfortable bed and great shower. All staff were helpful and friendly. We chose to eat our evening meal at the Priory on both nights and weren't disappointed with the food choices. We both had the Thai curry and brisket and chicken burger second night. The owners work hard , on duty early morning till evening and seem to go out their way to chat to everyone. All in all a pleasant visit.

United KingdomThe paint on the doors and stairs is getting a bit chipped. Personally, I would prefer a buffet-style breakfast where I can choose what I want, in what quantity, and where it gets positioned on the plate. There was not enough toilet paper. I know I could have asked for more but that's a slight embarrassment that an extra two rolls would avoid. These are not complaints, they are merely here to answer the question and these things in no way spoilt our stay.
We had two excellent evening meals, which were definitely superior to "pub" food. Breakfasts were tasty and well prepared. The staff were top-notch throughout. The "Superior Double" room was comfortable and had two small armchairs which we find more comfortable than sitting on the bed when watching TV or reading. The Hotel has its own car park and herb garden and is a short walk from the centre of Tetbury as well as being well-placed to explore the Cotswolds in general.

BelgiumOnly thing was the bathroom was tiny and there was a loud noise when the toilet flushed.
Really loved the Priory Inn. When we arrived we were greeted with a smile and taken to our room on ground floor. Room was lovely and beautifully decorated. Very quiet at night and the bed was very comfortable. They have a lovely garden to the front and we had drinks there before dinner. We had dinner in the restaurant of the hotel and it was delicious. Great quality food and again, service with a smile. Breakfast the next morning was equally delicious (English breakfast) with local produce! Would absolutely recommend this hotel and hope to go back again!

United KingdomThe bathroom and bedroom were very clean with good quality towels and bedding. However, the bathroom was tiny and the shower a bit of a squeeze. We were supposed to be in a Superior room, but I guess that our friends bagged that, as they @rrived before us. They had bath and shower, which one might expect for paying a little extra.
The staff were fantastic, without exception. The restaurant and bar area were inviting and well laid out. The food was very good, especially breakfast - excellent value if you want a full English, but not so if you only fancy toast and coffee. I was warned that the full rack of ribs might defeat me, and it did. Portion sizes were very generous.

United KingdomIt may be been affecting only our room but there was an extremely annoying noise both nights from approx 5.30 pm to 11pm . A loud noise every 30 seconds or so as if it was a water pipe pressure from activities below perhaps from the kitchen . Stopped us sleeping or even hearing the tv . It wasn’t nice .

United KingdomThe hotel was just right in so many ways. Its location gave us varied touring options, with day trips to the Cotswold villages, to South Wales (Brecon Beacons), a tour of the Mendip Hills and a day at Longleat Safari Park. The staff at the Priory Inn were very friendly and helpful. They were always smiling and polite throughout the day and made us feel at home at all times. The food at the Priory Inn was excellent. Starting the day with varied tasty breakfast options, including the full English, set us up well for our days out. We ate at the Priory Inn for one evening and enjoyed the meal. Again, its location also meant we could try other local restaurants (Italian & Nepalese) for alternative food choices. The rooms were clean and comfortable and once the shower temperature control was mastered our stay was stress free.

United KingdomOur only problem was the breakfast. Unless you wanted a cooked breakfast there wasn't a lot of choice. Would have liked more choice of fruit and some yoghurt. Apart from that we would return.
Friendly helpful staff. Perfect position for visiting Highgrove Gardens. Pleasent outside seating area. Room cleaned each day and fresh towels.
