Lovely lodge, with a great location

Lovely Lodge, great facilities. Very peaceful cosy stay. Pucks Glen has lovely scenery, myself husband and son really enjoyed our stay we will be returning.

One of the direction maps lead us to wrong place at beginning, Tv was small, No extraction fan so fire alarm went off a couple times when cooking, No hot water in kitchen tap although dish washer meant it wasn't a massive problem. No first aid kit.

Most of it, crazy nice beds, great living room, nice wee walk trail right behind cabin, decking was lovely to sit out on, bathroom was fancy and nice.

Only issues were the toilet filling back up was quite noisy for some time at night until it filled. Water was running cold too. Understandable though in secluded location. Heaters are on timers which can get cold at times.

Beautiful lodge in a great location Fantastic value for money. Got everything one would need for a weekend escape, games, netflix, prime. Wifi was excellent. Very quiet & peaceful retreat Hosts were amazing very good knowledge of local area & always in contact remotely.

I love how complete the facilities are. They even provided bath towels and soap. Location is the main attraction here, They are very close to forest trails such as Puck's Glen, Benmore, and Kilmun arboretum.

I've loved to spend my time at CALLTAINN Lodge. Is really cozy, and is just in the middle of Puck's Glen. Beautiful location. We had red squirrels running just outside our lodge. I will be back for sure.

The location was ideal for us to see all that we needed which we kind a drove in a big circle The lodge was really comfortable and cozy we did takeouts from Dunoon the two nights we were there first night Chinese fab cash only but bank is not far from it then we ate from the Three in one the second night which is on just eat

The only bit of a slight negative feedback, and this is very small. Is the messages from 2 numbers and booking.com messages. 1 number of which you don’t reply to. I counted 7 across our stay which got a bit confusing when trying to find bits of info we had read when we received it. Also there’s some out of date information in the welcome folder. The small cafe next to the service station is now shut :( and the kayaking facebook page i don’t believe exists so a small refresh of the book would be ideal! Other than those 2 very small points which didn’t negatively impact us, the lodge was lovely and will be back!

The property was lovely, clean and tidy. We felt very safe and comfortable. Had a small internet issue but nothing a good old game of monopoly didn’t fix. Other board games were available which made us very happy. Weather was unfortunately not on our side but still made the most of our time. During evenings we still enjoyed sitting outside undercover listening to the rain. I found the bed super comfortable however my partner woke up with extreme neck pain each night, I’m not going to mark this down because his sleeping habits are bizarre so if you like a flat pillow bring your own!

Hard to get on Internet. Internet reset every night at 3am causing constant flashing lights in bedroom as it would not reset. Booking .com would email then owners would text constantly as well. Double l e information and day after got there given info on checking out.....

N/A - There was nothing about this cabin to dislike

We liked the peaceful location, the little red squirrels in the morning and the general location for plenty of walking places. The cabin was lovely and homely and had everything you could possibly need. The communication and information from the owners was brilliant but not intrusive.

The location is beautiful, its secluded and quiet, a perfect place to have a few days break. The walks around the area are stunning, in particular, Pucks Glen which has a starting point just 100m a way from the cabin.

- We hadn’t packed some of the basics that are usually provided in self catering accommodation ie. Salt, pepper, olive oil, kitchen roll, anti bacterial spray and hand soap in the kitchen. Wouldn’t put us off going back and would just pack that next time.

- The lodge was cozy, comfortable and in a lovely location. - Two beautiful bedrooms both clean and nice decor. - Great communication with hosts and ideas for activities on a rainy day. - Pucks Glen trail path right on your doorstep.

I liked everything about the property. it is warm, very highly finished I.e furniture bedding etc. the beds are very comfortable and we met Stephen again who is very nice and helpful. We’ve stayed there now at least 10 times and we plan to book again for next month. It is so peaceful and relaxing and there’s lots to do.

It was a little bit cold at night, but, otherwise, we loved everything!

It was much bigger than I anticipated. It was very beautiful, spacious and comfortable. My kids really loved it, and the drive to the town was scenic and not too long. Thank you (and for the free Netflix)!
