The breakfast was amazing, freshly home cooked and plenty of it. Richard and Jane made us very welcome and also allowed us to check in after 11pm as we had driven 5 hours after work to get there. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The views are fantastic. Top place, would definitely recommend.

Everything was perfect!

Exceptional B&B which considerably exceeded our expectations! We loved the location & views of the surrounding fields populated with sheep! And the breakfast was amazing in which I personally ordered the Full Welsh Breakfast on all 3 days which was absolutely delicious as well as the handcrafted bread from Host Richard. Around the property I walked in the wonderful fields down to the local stream & then up to the viewpoint with panoramic views across the valley and across to the Myndd Epynt Mouontains to the South of PwllGwilym. Richard and Jane, the Hosts are outstanding with both their local knowledge as well as their high standards in cuisine & service. I should add that breakfast was served on time in our large room each morning as we sat watching the "Reality Show" of sheep moving around their surrounding pastures. Outstanding!

Beautiful spot, amazing breakfast, the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept on and the nicest hosts. The morning we left, they cleared the drive of sheep by means of tractor, with us following on behind! We’ll definitely be back.

There was nothing that you could find to dislike. Beautiful traditional Welsh decoration, welcome and food.

Everything was absolutely superb. Fantastic accommodation, clean and spacious with all room amenities. Location was truly magnificent with views to die for and lovely local walks. Breakfast was…..well….brilliant doesn’t give it enough praise, it had everything you could want and more. The hosts, Jane and Richard….and not forgetting sweet Darcy, made us feel so welcome it was like they were welcoming good friends. A return visit is definitely on the calendar….and hopefully a trip on Richard’s Welsh Safari …… as there is so much local and Welsh National history to learn about. Just Fandabbydozy

The property is located in a beautiful setting amidst the Welsh countryside. There’s also a lovely nature walk around the property that’s very nice for a morning or evening walk. the room was big and clean with good facilities. We ordered a lot of food but they were happy to oblige, bringing all the food to the room promptly. The breakfast was delicious and we ate everything! The hosts are also very knowledgeable about the local area, we returned from our walk around the property and as we had no schedule for that day, they suggested we took a drive through the countryside and pointed out a tonne of lovely places to go visit. The drive around the reservoir is not for the faint hearted but we are very glad they suggested it as the views were incredible.

The Pwllgwilym B & B is a beautiful property in the middle of Wales, near Builth Wells (3 miles) and very close to the Brecon Beacons National Park. The room we have booked was very big and nice, and the bathroom included also a large bathtub (in addition to the shower). Breakfast (both warm and cold) was great, and Jane, the owner, was very friendly and kind. Finally, free parking is available at the property.

We loved the setting of this b&b...so peaceful and quiet...all you could hear was the sound of sheep! The owner was very nice and helpful, she even brought our very large breakfast to enjoy in our very big room! What a lovely retreat to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and be spoilt! Thankyou so much😁

This is a fantastic place to stay just out of Builth Wells but close enough for all you to go back for an evening meal.Hosts were very helpful and highly recommend staying here.Breakfast was fantastic and a bonus for Australians a fridge in our room

Breakfast was amazing and was delivered to the room. Room was large and had a small fridge which was a bonus and not common in many places we stayed. Our hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. We got lots of advice about sites to see in Wales. The nature walk around the large property was a highlight. This was one of the best places we stayed in the trip so far (4 weeks). We will return if we ever get back to Wales.

Really enjoyed the countryside location, surrounded by fields with grazing sheep. The room was very spacious and had a table to sit at for food as well as a fridge and comfy chairs. The breakfast was sensational with fresh produce and lots of it!
