United KingdomThis property was extremely dirty. The lampshade only had one out of the four lights working. There was crumbs and dirt on the floor bed was uncomfortable. The electrical sockets were damaged an unsafe the bathroom is extremely dirty and all in all this is the worst hotel I’ve ever been in. I spent 10 years in the military and I’ve stayed in better accommodation overseas in trenches than this hotel. I walked out of the hotel due to being so disgusted how much promise by Booking.com a full refund. However, the hotel have yet to give me anything has been at least two months now very disappointed and extremely unhappy.
I can’t say I liked anything about this property. The photos in it were very dated and probably around 20 years old. When I walked into the property it was absolutely awful to the point where I went to my room around booking.com and Walkabout immediately please stay away. This is an awful awful establishment

IndiaWe weren't directed to our room just given the key and made to feel like we were an inconvenience, stairs and landing were filthy, room smelt of cigarettes, bath was filthy, chair was covered in hairs. There was only one cup and glass so we had to share.
This was a last minute booking. So we were grateful to have found something at such short notice but I will never be booking again. Take some pride in your business. It shows.

There was noise coming from the water all night, specifically from the bathroom in room 23. I have been booking this hotel for the past five years and believe I deserve a discount and an upgrade to a better room every one or two bookings.

Although the hotel is clearly under renovation my room was very comfortable, clean, well appointed. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had a lovely big bath as well as a shower although the water pressure was not great so took a long time to fill a bath.

Last minute booking due to being in the area for work, the hotel staff were great and very helpful. The hotel has a lot of character, the room was clean, bedding was exceptional and bathroom too. It has everything you need.

United KingdomHotel is in a poor state compared to how it used to be. No one at reception when I arrived (4.30 pm), no lights on. No food of any sort, no bar. The whole place is in a poor state. I refused to stay and had to find another hotel. It should not be recommended at all. At least I should get a refund and in future would be very wary of a booking.com recommendation.

United KingdomThe price was greatly inflated due to the big local event. Although it looked fairly new, the quality of the painting redecoration in the room was very poor. Many fittings were broken - the bathroom hooks, shower screen, toilet seat and wardrobe rails etc. There was no option for breakfast (soo bought a selection at Coop a 2min mix away. Wouldn’t take much investment to really smarten the hotel up that has lots of architectural features and character.
The location was near the venue of the event I was attending and on a good bus route. There was ample parking and the staff were super friendly reacting quickly to every single request and making is feel welcome.
