Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

The staff were very helpful & let us have a ground floor room so my friend could bring her bike inside. The reception staff were very helpful, and the courtesy call before arrival was a nice touch

PortugalI stayed in a room on the lower floor and the sound isolation was not good at all, you can hear very well the steps of the people above and voices from other rooms. The shower needs an upgrade, because it doesn't maintain temperature.
The rooms were very clean and provide everthing that was necessary. The location is good, but keep in mind that is at the top of a hill, so if you go by foot it can be a bit of an effort. The staff were very friendly and always keen to help.

IrelandPlugin fragrances used all over the hotel. Even removing one from my room wasn't enough. Fragrances are disliked by 50% of the population with between 25 and 30% having adverse reactions so it's time to move with the times. A smell of drains in the bathroom.

United KingdomBreakfast was overpriced for what was on offer. Well cooked but I would endorse others who have said that, if you had time, getting a really good breakfast in one of the many venues in Clifton is probably better value.
Quiet location, I arrived late so went straight to bed, but it was obvious that there were plentry of bars / restaurants etc. in easy walking distance.

United KingdomWe had a basement room which was really cold. I enquired about the heating but it is only on from 6-11 ok at night, and 6-9 in the mornings. As when we arrived on a cold December day at 4pm our room was really cold and there was no attempt to heat it up. We are in our 60s and requested an accessible room so obviously we feel the cold a bit more than most. I won’t stay here again. If you need to charge more to run the heating, please do so
