Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was a touch noisy outside in Seal Street but with the window closed it was fine.
It's a lovely locational and the staff are so professional. The room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Great nights sleep and a fabulous shower. Also there is a fridge. I was staying 3 nights and it's handy to keep a few fresh nibbles and a couple of cold ones on hand.

IrelandIt's close to the late night bars so quite noisy at night. If you are out yourself then it's fine but if want to go to bed early then ask for a room at the back as they are less noisy.
Comfortable bed, spacious room and really lovely staff. They are a credit to the hotel. The breakfast was good too.

United KingdomMy first room had a very tight bathroom. Barely room to sit on the toilet with out getting the radiator on your knees. The windows only open about an inch and the room gets unbearably hot. There was a portable fan but these rooms have no air con.
The location is brilliant but visitors need to be aware that you right in the middle of Clubland. I couldn't sleep till 4am on the first and second nights of my stay. The staff were very helpful and moved me to a room at the back of the hotel where it was fine.

IrelandShower and toilet could be cleaned better. Room quite dark , could do with brighter lights. If looking for a quiet stay in Liverpool I would suggest not staying here due to close proximity to all the nightclubs and bars.
Great location in middle of city centre. Very friendly staff. Very comfortable beds. 20 / 25 min drive from Liverpool Airport.

United KingdomBecause the sink was so small, it was impossible to get hot water as the water gushed out of the sink if you turned the tap hard to the right. The property was advertised as close to the Philharmonic Hall but was actually a long walk uphill to it.
Disability access was good. Room very clean. Grab rails in bathroom were excellent.

New ZealandThe room was very warm. No air conditioning and the hotel is in the middle of a bar/nightclub area which was a bit noisy at night. If the "balcony" door was left open to cool room down ,it was a bit noisy. If door was shut, it was very warm. Could be an issue in mid summer.
The rooms were large and comfortable. The location was excellent and easy walking distance around liverpool. Staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe bathroom was very hot. It wasn't until our second day we realised it was because of the towel warmer and then it wasn't until our 3rd day that we found the off switch for it behind one of the beds. There isn't a window in there so it got very stuffy and uncomfortable very quickly.
We liked the room itself, spacious and the fridge, hairdryer and fan were major positives.

United KingdomThe outside noise was horrendous. We had to buy earplugs. The music didn't stop till 3.30 am on a weekday, then at 5am the beer delivery's and bin emptying started. Staff were mostly friendly, although there was a bit of "if I'm looking at my computer, then I can't see you"!
Lovely modern room. The bed was comfy. Bathroom was great, with a rainfall shower. Hotel would be better for those that stay up until the early hours.
