Nothing, although we weren’t too keen on the deconstructed aubergine parmigiana!!

It was very friendly, the property itself was interesting

Having to climb 2 flights of stairs to our room

There was plenty of food for breakfast. The location of the Hotel was not a problem, it being right in the Town. Having a private car park helped.

Public areas and staircases looking tired and due for some refurbishment. But everywhere was clean and decent.

Location, character, room size, bathroom, the staff. Dining menu, food quality. All round good breakfasts.

A second person (male) poked his head around the corner whilst Mandy was checking if our room was ready (we were approx 1 hour early) and asked if we were being seen to. We said yes and advised him that mandy was checking if our room was ready. He abruptly just no, it's not ready and walked off. We also overheard him in the lounge area disagreeing with another customer regarding a different pub/ hotel nearby serving food after 3pm. He was quite rude to be honest.

Mandy (I think) was a delight to meet and greet us. Had a few chats before we left, very friendly and funny and gave us some great tips and advice. Decor and bedroom facilities were great with plenty of space and storage. Comfy bed.

Being on the main road made it a bit noisy, and we could hear the music from the club down the road. No problems sleeping, though.

Our room was lovely. Lots of space and lots of lovely touches in the room, eg, playing cards and books. Good selection of tea, coffee, and hot chocolate with some tasty biscuits. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely meal in the hotel which went down a treat. Tasty breakfast each morning. Shower powerful and refreshing. Good selection of ample toiletries.

Finding the car park can be difficult and I would advise potential guests to pay attention to the parking instructions

The staff were highly professional and helpful. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious. The hotel is well situated for walkers and for visiting the nearby Powis Castle and Gardens.

One small thing only - The food in the restaurant was very good, but (very young) waiting staff need training about their wine list.

Friendly reception and very comfortable room.(small) and bed. Excellent breakfast. Right in the middle of Welshpool, easy walking. Ten minute drive to Powis Castle.

The hot water took a long time to heat up - probably inevitable in an old building. There was a loud noise at 6.30 am - maybe the heating starting up? Breakfast wasn't quite what we had ordered.

    Good food, comfortable room.

The room was very well appointed but we did find the bed rather uncomfortable.

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Really nice room with a compact en-suite and good shower. Breakfast selection was very good and evening meal in the restaurant was excellent. The hotel was in the centre of Welshpool, near to lots of interesting shops, cafes, restaurants and the canal. Powis castle was very close by.
