I am an older person so the times of the breakfast sitting which are 7am -9am weekdays and 7am-10am weekends, would be more suitable if they were extended until 10am and 11am. My wife was able to get her breakfast, but because of the early start and finish times I wasn't able to get there on time. Disappointing.

We were there to meet our son who is studying at Oxford, so the location was excellent. The room was clean and tidy and the view from the window was excellent too.

Unfortunately hotel appearance is tired. As are some places in the communal areas. The swimming pool is unusable and has been for a long time I feel.

The hotel is almost on the bank of the river Thames. The view from our room was beautiful. Staff were friendly and helpful. Food, had a good selection on the menu, & executed well. Breakfast was a good quality too everything as it should be.

Hotel generally looking a little tired. Damp patches in restaurant ceiling. Carpets very worn in restaurant and hallways ro.the bedrooms in the 'annex' building. Staff shortage on the day we were there, so staff having to cover other jobs.

Great location on the river. Riverview Restaurant evening meal and staff were very good. Lovely breakfast.. Room spacious and comfortable bed. Bathroom clean with a bath and rain shower over.

The water for use making tea at breakfast had been put in a dispenser previously used for coffee making it undrinkable. (The first squirt came out brown) One toaster for toast making between all the guests meaning quite long waits for folk.

Location, location, location! The bedroom and bathroom itself was absolutely lovely. Provision of alternative milk at breakfast.

Staff were exceptional. Hotel a little tired and dated but staff made up for it. All very clean. Breakfast lovely. Staff need more training on what vegan food is, eggs are not vegan, but young lad was interested in subject and asked questions so learning on the job

Very outdated. Radiators don’t work so oil heaters provided. Hole underneath the carpet, can hear everything from room next door even them putting on a bathroom Light. Tried to Charge for wine on the room When we don’t even drink it. Cobwebs and dirt everywhere. WiFi very poor, tv only certain Channels worked. Charged different amounts for drinks when paying at the bar.

The view and location were perfect and breakfast selection was great!

Some elements e.g. hallways are very dated (I saw previous reviews mention this) but as stated above our room was modern and clearly recently renovated.

We stayed in a modern riverview suite. The room was very spacious, with a four poster bed and freestanding bathtub and separate shower enclosure in the en-suite. The staff were very friendly and the hot breakfast was lovely. There was a good selection of cereals, juices, and toast preserves in the continental. They take dogs and allow them in the bar area for a £15 surcharge. While I understand the hotel as a whole needs updating the bar, dining area, and renovated rooms look great. It’s a great location for walks along the river - the receptionist very helpfully recommended the best routes to go, and it’s a short drive from Oxford. We would definitely stay again.

We were advised the breakfast was entirely gluten free however the sausages weren't but there was still choice.

The location was lovely and the room was excellent. The bed was huge and extremely comfortable and the bathroom was really lovely.
