From Booking.com was given a free Upgrade, but hotel was over booked and just about gave us a slight downgrade shoud of had a suite but received a family room, but only after been given 1 room to find that someone was already in it.. Hotel was very full, breakfast on a Saturday went down at 9, had to find a seat, hot food was very nice, but no pastries, and only 2 x 4 toasters for the whole seating area, plus seemed very short staffed Hotels catered for weddings, murder mystery night, and more, all seemed to be there that weekend

I was upgraded to the executive suite which was lovely but offered not much more than a large ròm with a bath and shower. The power points for charging ŵere not on the bedside table so this may have been a b8t of an issue if I went there for work

Room was a little tired, mold in bathroom, phone socket was just a hole in the wall. Took ten minutes for shower to heat up.

Not enough staff. No lemonade in both bars. Broken tea/coffee machine.

Extra charge to use spa if booking made through booking. Com lack of staff so always waiting for service. Evening meal service very poor, everyone was waiting a very long time for their food.

Didn't know reception closed at 9 so didn't order dinner and was too late. No instruction that food was not served after 9 ie no snacks available to the room receptionist did not advise that we should book breakfast when booking in due to it costing more in the morning

Lovely staff very clean room very comfortable bed perfect temperature in the rooms beautiful size bathroom. Breakfast staff were lovely!!!

We ate dinner as in the restaurant one evening. The staff don’t appear to have been trained in the some of the service details which mark the difference between a breakfast service and dinner in a ‘restaurant'. If you are going to offer £40 bottles of wine then staff need to know how to serve it. Plonking it on the the table with a couple of inappropriate wine glasses is poor. Menus weren’t collected after ordering, we just left them on the floor. No one staff member appeared to be in charge supervising service. None the less the staff were very friendly.

The pool area was dirty.. the showers before you go into the pool were filthy, the metal railings around the jacuzzi were extremely rusty and broken exposing very dangerous pieces sticking out. Railings definitely needs to be removed.

The food was lovely, not huge portions but hot with a hot plate which is always good. Room was a good size but needed updating and TLC. Very dusty in bathroom.

Having made a booking for dinner directly with the hotel reception 2 weeks before our stay I was not impressed when we arrived at the restaurant at the rebooked time to be told that they had no record of my booking.Luckily the restaurant was not busy or full so a table was found for us and we had an enjoyable meal with good service.Aparently “this often happens” which semis to be indicative of the problem I had getting to speak to someone when I called to make the dinner booking.

Very good,well presented and plenty of choice and hot breakfast food.

Half board was £25 towards your evening meal, not very explicit when you book, was expecting a bill for food. Quality of food not brilliant.

The floor in our bedroom and our Sons bedroom, it was hard to try and find anywhere to stand that did not squeak/creak

Restaurant - Gets overwhelmed when getting slightly busy, wait times go up. why, when you pay do you then have to leave the restaurant to pay at the bar and join a big queue !!! Pay at table would give a better customer experience

The morning staff at breakfast time were exceptionally lovely. Huge thanks for making us feel so welcome. We were late down and breakfast was over because child wasn’t feeling well. Breakfast staff went above and beyond to cook sausages, bacon and eggs for us. They were so kind with their words and made us welcome. Thank you morning staff x

Not much around so transport is needed to travel on

Unfortunately we had numerous problems with the key card. Having to keep going to get it change. It turned out it was the door battery that needed placing.

The rooms big and had a separate shower which was great not to climb in a bath. Which is difficult when your lower spine is fixed with hard wear in my back. That was definitely a plus for me.
