Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United Kingdom- There’s no mirror in the room - the bathroom door won’t lock - the toilet is so uncomfortable there’s no space to sit.
There’s nothing to like about this property. It says OYO but that’s probably fake. There’s not a single OYO branding.

United KingdomEverything! It was absolutely shocking! A hostel would have been better and cleaner. You’d have to see it to believe what state the entire building is in but our room was mouldy and falling apart! And no kettle. They don’t show the rooms on the photos when booking. It should be condemned.
The location.

United KingdomAlthough I did book a small single room, and was aware it wouldn't be big, this was beyond small. There was a tiny gap between the bed and the bathroom and the door of the bathroom didn't work. There was no hot water when I tried to take a shower in the morning. The TV didn't work either. The hotel itself looks like it's getting work done, but currently is drab and tired looking. Although, in London terms it would be considered cheap in comparison for a Saturday night, I would have had a better stay at a hostel.
The location was fantastic and the entrance to the property was nice. There were coffee making facilitates which was a nice touch for the morning.

GermanyWindows seemed like they weren’t closed even tho they were but the wind kept blowing in and it was super loud from all the traffic. And the bed was not big enough for 2 people, it was way too small. It was a room that was good enough for only one person but not for 2.

United KingdomFirstly, the coffee section was very unmanageable, and very messy, the dustbin was over flowing with paper coffee cups and coffee pods I rang the bell on reception around 8pm and asked for coffee, as there wasn’t any coffee at the coffee station!, the Asian guy with glasses come to the reception with a unpleasant look of hate and told me that the hotel doesn’t let you have coffee at this time , then smirk and pulled out the coffee, i gathered he had a dry sense of humour!!! Which wasn’t funny. The room- The coat hangers in the room were very shabby and old dated!.
I was welcomed by the receptionist guy(white guy) who was amazing at booking me in he also explained about opening the front door if it’s locked at night!.

MexicoThe location is super good. Quick bus and metro access makes it easy to move around. The room was super small, but with a private bathroom. The room had two windows and a radiator as well. I visited during September and it was great. This was my first time in London and I planned only on sleeping here. For a "traveler" this is a great hotel. For a "vacationer" I imagine it would be terrible.

United KingdomThe overall quality of the hotel was shocking. It was clear that there had been some attempts to make things nicer (e.g. biscuits and complimentery coffee) but the building was dated and unkept. The paint was cracked and peeling on every wall and ceiling. While the receptionist was prompt and gave me the information I needed, he was by no means welcoming. There were large cardboard boxes and rubbish in the stairwell and on the stairs themselves. Each step made the floor creak beyond the third floor. There was black mold in the grout in my bathroom. My bedroom was on a slant - both the mattress and the floor itself; I felt like I was constantly about to fall out of bed. The walls and window were so thin you could hear everything inside and out all hours of the night. It was also very cold in my room which was surprising for how small it was.
The location was the best part of the stay, being a stone's throw from Baker Street station. The receptionist was direct and efficient at check-in. The socket in my room had USB ports.

United KingdomThe building is old and in need of some renovations e.g. paint, shower cap replacement but overall just an old building in London.
The receptionist was very friendly and helpful, the location of the hotel is excellent. The room was small but cozy, just what I needed.

United KingdomWhen I got there no one would answer the door. Eventually after a couple of calls to a mobile number on a post it on the door someone answered the door. The gentleman looked disheveled and was very grumpy. I am disabled and I had struggle 3 flights of stairs. The place was in such a state of disrepair there was open pipes and electrics everywhere I have never seen anything like it.
It’s location next to the train station which I hoped would be safer.

United KingdomFirstly the room I thought I had booked via booking.com wasn’t the room I was given. When I went to the room, the toilet door was a sliding door which was broken, the decorating did not match the photos the toilet was horrendous, there was no hangers or pegs to put up clothes, the room stank. When I asked the gentleman at the front, he asked me to show him the pictures from the room I booked to which he replied ‘they are old pictures’ - the room was awful. He then changed me to another room, that room stank of weed as soon as I walked in, the window was broken, the room was cold, the bed sheet at hair in it which looked like someone else has slept there but they couldn’t be bothered to change the bedding. Honestly it was an awful experience and I had no option but to sleep in that bed and the room.
