Absolutely loved staying at Springkell - it was a real treat for our one night stop off. Staff and owner were very attentive and kind. Very good value, and we rather enjoyed having the place almost to ourselves. Food was really tasty. We booked the honeymoon suite - HUGE room, lovely view, bath with lashings of hot water. Couldn't have been happier. Dinner and breakfast in the ballroom.

Our heated towel rail wasn't working for the first night so the bathroom was very cold but the staff offered us a room change which we declined so they fixed the towel rail for us. Very efficient. Also a little niggle... would have liked some fresh fruits, granola etc on breakfast table, and no marmalade for toast? All very minor though,would definitely recommend and stay again at this beautiful hotel.

The setting, the house and the garden and grounds are absolutely stunning. The staff are super friendly and helpful and the cooked Scottish breakfast was delicious 😋

There was a smoke house near by, being an old building it has old windows so unfortunately let the smoke into our bedroom

Stayed 1 night on a tour around Scotland, very handy not too far from the M74. Great spacious room bed extremely comfortable, spotless, lovely bathroom with powerful shower, fantastic breakfast.

A little hotel out of the way, in fact we had a little trouble finding it, but when we did “wow”. A fantastic country house, with beautiful rooms. The dinner and breakfast was fantastic. Amazing, thankyou. To top it off we saw lambs in raincoats, too cute!

I really couldn't fault this hotel. If I was being especially pedantic, it was a little bit cooler than ideal in the sitting room, so would have been nice to have the fire on. But the staff were clearly very busy (as you'd expect on a friday evening) so this shouldn't have been a priority.

An enchanting building, with staff working extremely hard to provide an exceptional experience for their guests. Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly throughout our stay. The building has been sympathetically restored and maintained and this is reflected in the comfort and ambience throughout the house. The food in the evening and at breakfast was superb, and the wine list had some real gems. I could not recommend Springkell enough!

Would appreciate decaf coffee in the room. Ensuite really needs a stronger extractor fan as it gets very bad condensation which drips from the towel rail onto the floor after shower use. It could do with something to put clothes/suitcase on .. perhaps a lower chest of drawers.

Wonderful breakfast and very comfortable pillows and bed. Sadly we were only there for one night. Everything was beyond expectations and we would be very happy to stay again. The staff were lovely and helpful. No problem with my request for gluten free food for dinner and breakfast.

A wonderful location, it is easy to understand why it is so popular for weddings and occasions. The staff were super friendly, Robert called me on the way there and arranged something for me to eat, as I was arriving late. Little things that make a huge difference. I have booked twice more already, that says it all, I think.

The property is beautiful, really well looked after with a great combination of period features and modern comforts. The while team were really friendly and did all they could to make our stay great. The communication was really positive too, (even though we booked last minute on a Saturday night) additional directions were really useful and made sure we found the property without issue - we’ll definitely stay again if we’re in the area

Only thing that disappointed us was the lack of view from our bedroom window. Such a shame when the grounds are so lovely. The grounds must look wonderful when the rhododendrons are in full bloom!

Nothing not to like.

Location is remote, so expect to use the hotel bar / restaurant. The staff are always friendly, attentive and welcoming. Food is superb, rooms large and clean, and overall the house and grounds amazing - certainly different from the usual hotel expectations..

All was great.

All was great - staff were fantastic, so welcoming and attentive. The food was delicious - and amazing value. The room was wonderful and the bed so comfortable. The property is charming - with a function room, ballroom, games room and on it goes. Expansive and well kept grounds and so secluded. This was such a lucky find - we were just stopping over on our drive up to the Highlands. We will certainly be back.
