It feels like we overpaid. The room smelled stale and the hotel area clearly hasn't enjoyed as much investment as the foyer and restaurant at the front of the building. For the price we paid, we expected (hoped for?) a mini fridge in the room.

The staff are really helpful & friendly. The restaurant/pub area is comfortable and decorated beautifully. The meals were delicious.

On arrival it would be nice to be greeted with a smile… Dinner in the ball was very pleasant and the steak was cooked wonderfully… I think your rooms are a little tired and I suffered with a noisy radiator overnight which woke me up… Breakfast was a very mixed bag Eggs that were very anaemic and hardly call them a yellow woke and the bread was mass produced whereas you had nice sausages bacon fabulous mushrooms a real mixed bag

The bed and pillows were un comfy so didn't get a really good nights sleep having said that no bed is like your own

Car park and paths uneven due to hillside location. Breakfast service was a bit hit and miss, we weren’t asked if we wanted anything cooked to order and staff were slow to clear our plates.

Lovely garden setting, nicely decorated room, modern bathroom and power shower with big fluffy towels. The breakfast area of the bar had a pleasant atmosphere with a good variety of food on offer.

The price. Nearly £280 for 2 nights. While my brother and his wife had a bigger room and paid £160 for 2 night. Doesn't make.sense.

Room a bit tired round the edges. Bath had marks on it. Chairs worn and a bit frayed. Table needed sanding and revarnishing. I'd paid for an upgrade to a deluxe room which whilst larger than the normal double, the quality of decor wasn't as stylish and modern.

Very creaky floor boards in bedroom, though understandable given the age. Not the best use of space in the bedroom/bathroom ; we had large double room, which was lovely, but the small room connecting bedroom to bathroom was wasted space. A large wall mirror over the shelf area, and coat hooks opposite would have been great.

The hotel is well located for Manchester airport. The room was comfortable with an excellent shower. Water, tea and coffee were provided in the room. The buffet breakfast had good choices.

Staff are an absolute asset to this hotel especially those in the bar and restaurant for dinner and breakfast. All areas of the hotel were very clean and tidy.
