Nothing really just a little driving to and fro to our son some 2 miles away in Bratton Fleming

all breakfasts were excellent. The rooms were fine as we could go in an out at any time without disturbing the hosts

I was on a LEJOG bike trip and this was a great stop. The owners could not have been more helpful. We turned up on our bikes after over 50 miles in the rain but absolutely no problem getting into the house and room to get changed and get our wet gear dried out. Our bikes were stored safely in the garage and we got eBikes charged up over night no problem. Room was great and breakfast was great!

There was nothing not to like!

Robert was an excellent host and made our stay relaxed and enjoyable. We were fully informed about the area. Plenty of parking space which was rare in most locations. Breakfast was plentiful and room amenities more than sufficient. Nice hot shower, cosy room and comfy bed. Lovely, scenic location.

There isn't a pub/restaurant/shop in the village. The owner informed us beforehand and gave suggestions where to eat. But still, you need to drive about ten minutes to the nearest restaurant.

Located in a tiny village, so no noise from traffic or such. Stayed one night in the groundfloor room. Room has a separate sitting area and an outside deck. Large bathroom with shower. Room clean, bed comfortable. Wonderful breakfast with quality ingredients.

Nothing to dislike.

Exceptional breakfast, quality of ingredients and choice of options made this a delicious meal. Robert was an attentive and interesting host. The room was spotlessly clean and the bedding smelled really fresh. The bed was so comfortable. The tea and coffee tray was well stocked with a variety of goodies.

Robert is an amazing host! We were so happy we decided to spend a night at the Stoke House Bed and Breakfast! The room was clean and cozy, everything worked well and the bed was very comfortable, but best of all was the service. Robert was a faultless host and provided a great breakfast with a range of options. We had the full English breakfast- it was delicious! A hidden gem for sure. The location is also great with a charming garden and koi pond. 10/10

Everything! From the moment we arrived we were greeted and made to feel very welcomed and at home. Could not ask for a nicer host. The room was immaculate upon arrival and the breakfast was phenomonal, I only wish we could've stayed longer!

We loved everything about our stay.

Very friendly owners who gave us a great welcome. Lovely cosy family home with amazing views. The room was equipped with everything we needed even free bottles of water, fresh milk and biscuits. Bathroom spotless with good shower. Lovely and warm in our room and oh so quiet.

There were no places to eat nearby but our hosts gave us recommendations for places to eat in town - a trade-off for the peaceful country setting.

The room was very nice and quiet and the countryside location was lovely. Breakfast was great with plenty of variety and our hosts were extremely friendly.

I loved the homely feel to the room. The views are amazing, location is great, not far from Barnstable. The hosts Robert and Nicky were very welcoming and I would definetely stay again if I visit North Devon again.

Excellent for children and dogs. Rob & Nikki couldn't be more helpful, nothing was too much of a problem. Our dogs were able to stay in the room with us and we're even given their own sausage for breakfast.

it was all good, there was nothing to dislike.

These people go above and beyond to make their clients happy, They took into consideration our personal needs and went out of their way to ensure that we were comfortable in all aspects. We cannot recommend them enough and if we come back into the area we will definitely look into staying here again

I was staying as a single resident so may not have had the biggest room. I spent most the evenings in my room where I think a small armchair would have been useful.

Robert and Nicki serve a comprehensive breakfast menu consisting of cereals fruit juice, tea or coffee and a hearty full english with a choice of toast. I couldn't fault it. My room was spotlessly clean with a generous supply of tea, coffee and chocolate. The ensuite bathroom, unlike some B&B's had a large modern shower that allows plenty of movement. The double bed was comfortable and I slept like a log.
