Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We are currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Trinidad and TobagoThe AC and the microwave didn't work.
The location was great, easy access to transit and active enough that I felt safe. The room was clean and the staff was very helpful with any questions or concerns that I had.

United KingdomAlthough close to Waterloo station, which was convenient, the noise from the trains was quite loud. Take ear plugs. In the information provided, we were supposed to have a stove top and toaster. Neither of which we had. It didn't matter too much as we ate out, but if you want to eat in, there is a microwave.
Convenient for London attractions and Waterloo station.

United KingdomA few things were a problem, light in bathroom went off on a timer and had to open shower door to get it on again very annoying particularly as the shower tray filled up with water quickly and could easily cause a flood, there was a clicking noise constantly in the apartment and very late Saturday night 2/3am bottles were being emptied or tipped loudly into out door store bins which was very loud! Accept that there was going to be train and street noise due to proximity but that was unnecessary! Kitchen was reasonably well equipped but missing a toaster which would have been great for breakfast and quick snacks
Very convenient and easy access with a lift to floors , clean and tidy and comfortable bed

ArmeniaIf you can't live with the train noise, this is not your place. Hotel is next to active railway and double door didn't help. Room temperature was cool and took a whole day to make warmer. No single bottle of water.

RomaniaIt was really cold, the A/C system was only cooling the room. We had to use the space heater which was very helpful in the end. The locker system was constantly beeping which was really annoying. I would suggest changing those😁
Very well positioned in the center of the city, modern and nice furniture, spacious, clean, strong wifi, easy check in and check out process using codes

United KingdomStaff were aware we were busy getting ready for our event and still walked into our room without warning while my partner was getting ready for a shower. I don't know if they saw anything but It was pretty embarrassing. They also did the same in the morning around 10am making sure we were checking out by 11, and with the fact there was still an hour to go it seemed very unnecessary and honestly a little bit pushy. I've honestly never been to a hotel where staff barge into your room like that. I found it hard to sleep due to how bright the lights were outside, the blinds were very thin, had to sleep with my head under a pillow. Think it would have been better to have a black out blind you can pull down too just incase.
Great location, was only 10 minutes walk from the royal festival hall (the reason for our journey). The room was very clean and tidy. Everything was easy to use. We wanted to check in early due to us having to get ready and the staff did their best to make sure we could which I really appreciate! The bed was very comfortable. Small but plenty of room. Definitely bigger than it seems. Might seem like I've written a lot for the negative but I can assure you we have a wonderful time and would definitely stay here again!!

United KingdomThe motion sensor light in the hallway kept turning on and off by itself all evening, in the end we had to turn the main switch off which meant that we couldn’t charge our phones or have the air con on. When showering in the bathroom, the motion sensor light also kept turning off there which meant you kept having to open the shower door and stick your arm out for the light to turn back on, this was quite annoying. Didn’t see any staff during our stay The room we stayed in is located by the station and a lot of bars so you do hear the trains and drunk people even with ear plugs in so it might make it difficult to sleep at night, there was also a really bright light opposite the building which is not the hotels fault but thin curtains meant that the light lit up the room at night which also may effect lighter sleepers so consider this in your stay
Location of property was great, there was a lot right on the doorstep like shops, cafes, bars and even a greggs and the really nice Leake Street Tunnel. There is a tube station nearby and some restaurants like nandos. The place was clean and had everything you needed Check in and check out was online and was very easy I would stay here again as the price is really good for what you get if you have a busy time in London and just need somewhere to sleep The room was cosy and the bed was comfy
